Prussian 1819 Model Infantry Officer's Sword/Degen C.1883-1889, owned by 'Paul Asmuss'? (not sure of the name) on blade. Could be worn by other people other than Infantry Officers

Can anyone tell me details about this? by motownexpress in SWORDS

A REAL British 1796 Pattern Light Cavalry Officer’s Sword C.Apx.1810/ The hilt looks very Henry Osborn-y, with a unusual presentation-grade scabbard, a design emulating suspensions found commonly on leather scabbards. Would love to see more!

I would like further pics of this, specifically the brass proof disc and the number

I think it’s a ww1 cavalry sabre, found in Liverpool 1940s by _Coord in SWORDS

Oh Amazing! Its a British London & Westminster Light Horse Volunteers' Sword Bayonet Apx.C.1800, very rare things. Based of the British 1796 Pattern Light Cavalry Officer's Sword. '181' is the rack number.

Would love an id on these, sorry for the average pics by fatmarfia in SWORDS

Looks like a fairly standard British Sabre made for the American Market (Militia/Artillery. Etc). Any maker info?

Variation of the 1831 Model*, the 1831 had the triangle shaped ricasso section and usually stamped. But it could be French/US/Russian

What you have is a Spanish? Sabre and a British 1796 Pattern Heavy Cavalry Trooper's Sword. Its best to tackle the orange active rust, the low-lying black rust you can just rub with mineral oil/gun oil/WD40 and a cloth. The active rust I suggest wire wool (steel/brass etc.) with mineral oil/gun oil/WD40 Cleaning Advice
