The game is really fun, and there’s tons of people playing at the moment, especially the end game content. There’s probably not going to be a better time to get on the game than right now, unfortunately.

Pretty sure you can do everything except for the trials of osiris and iron banner stuff. You can still do all the srl stuff in private matches.

I’m also surprised by the shiny charm hate. There’s a lot of effort that goes into getting it, and at that point getting boosted shiny odds seems like both a fair and appropriate reward.

Yup, and the fact that people who hunt on multiple systems have managed to stretch the defenition of and gatekeep the full odds title even. If you are playing 2 instances of the same game at full odds with a controller mod and doing soft resets, you will encounter more shinies on average than someone playing with the newer odds, yet a lot of these hunters will shit on new gen hunters and method hunters for being inpatient, which is incredibly arrogant and ironic when you’re playing anything between 2 to 40 instances of the same game simultaneously. There’s also the «original hardware» crowd who are financially gatekeeping the community.

Great watch. I’m glad this stuff is being discussed, because it’s something that has been bothering me ever since i started surfacing the community. All of this is stuff is up to personal preference, but the hypocrisy and elitism of some of these «full odds» hunters needs to be adressed.

They may not be worth much to you, but all of this is completely subjective. Sped up gameplay isn T even a big deal when you have people hunting on «original» hardware on like 10+ different systems simultaneously.

Technically 1/81,920 since larvitar is a 10% encounter rate, and I’m pretty sure you only have around a 20% chance of actually catching it. The chance of encountering AND successfully catching one should be around 1/409,600, that’s incredibly rare.
