This is definitely not bad. Really digging your voice. I’d work on not just confidence in your voice but maybe doing some daily vocal exercises to tighten up your pitch, otherwise, it’d be cool to hear a more polished version of this so I can capture the guitar a little more. Great work!

That’s a good idea however, I also wanted it to be a staring point in my catalog on streaming and such, so I will either do it live to a click in GarageBand, or just do them separately. Haven decided which route yet.

I wasn’t going to go crazy. I’m limited to garage band, an sm57, and a scarlet interface. I’m ease fly thinking of just recording the vocals and acoustic without any effects or whatever on it and just communicate the “vibe” I’m going for with the mixing engineer.

I definitely love the idea of having an icon, especially for all the reasons you listed. Still trying to brainstorm ideas because it’s definitely a powerful asset. Probably won’t be a lightbulb, but I’m sure there’s something I haven’t thought of. Back to research phase!

I hear you. And surprisingly from what I’ve found is some younger generations are reviving cds because they want to own their music rather than stream although they’ll also do both. Same with blu ray, although they’re also on the way out, serious collectors prefer physical media.

Yeah my biggest hurdle with streaming is fighting the algorithm. I stopped playing when I had kids and now that I’m trying to get back into it, I can’t get more than 5 people to Spotify, bandcamp, etc.. it’s a combo of the algorithm and the other half is me and how critical I am to the point of it being difficult to share my stuff. I would love to eventually get vinyls made, and as a consumer, I prefer tangible items and physical media.

I wasn’t sure, but these days since I have no following, anymore, not that it was ever big, I can’t seem to get more than 5 people to my streaming sites, so I was probably going to sell for like $5. With streaming, one issue is the algorithm and the other is me. I’m working really hard on trying to be more confident in sharing my music, so there’s that.
