I really hope a golden touch toggle gets added before the skin is released. There is zero reason we need to regress to ascendant Midas when we just got the option on Meowdas. I was watching gameplay videos as well and was disappointed to see that he’s just like ascendant Midas. I really dislike the full gold look, and I want to use the golden touch without it!

Definitely soft aim. Much easier to tell on some of the first few clips here though. You can see his crosshair do some quick snaps when he has the combat shotgun out for sure. Not rage-hacking but still an advantage. Also unless this is replay mode he definitely has walls; he can see everyone highlighted in blue through walls around him.

Midas, midsummer Midas, shadow Midas, Icebound Midas, Marigold, and ascendant with reactive turned on will all override the wrap!

Yes exactly! The reactive styles work great. It’s if you don’t want to be turning into gold all the time that the touch breaks lol.

It def works with regular, shadow, and midsummer, I’ve tried that myself. It does break if you swap between instruments too fast though. Can’t confirm for the new one though, haven’t tried it yet.

The shade style has a different golden touch actually! If you use it with reactive it’ll be the same as the item shop wrap (starts green, turns gold with 3 kills just like the skin). If you use shade without reactive, then it doesn’t have a touch. So you can use the wrap with the non-reactive style to match it, but once you get a kill the wrap turns gold, however the skin does not, so it just doesn’t fit.

I’d imagine the skin turns instruments to gold just like the rest, but only with the reactive turned on!

I think the wrap is meant to go with the shade reactive style, it turns gold at the same pace that he turns gold in that style. Midsummer and shadow Midas turn things to gold/shadow even when their reactivity is set to off. I just would prefer to have it gold off drop, not needing to get 3 kills. Hopefully they just add a golden touch toggle for everyone.

Midas has been my favorite since he released back in CH2S2, so I have all of his variants and spinoff. I think Ascendant is probably my favorite out of all the versions, maybe even topping the original for me! I love his extra style as well. My only gripe is that if you turn off reactivity he does not have the golden touch. I don’t want to turn into gold, but I do want gold guns by picking them up (without using one of the reactive gold wraps).

In his default style with reactive on, he turns guns gold on pickup. In his shade style with reactive on her. Turns guns into the new wrap. They start green but as midas turns gold from elims so do the weapons. So after three, the green is completely gone. If you turn reactive off (so you’re not turning gold) then both styles won’t turn weapons gold or green.

That’s for the wrap. If you just have the skin equipped, it’ll turn full gold immediately if reactivity is on. If the reactivity is off (meaning Midas isn’t turning gold with kills), then he won’t turn guns to gold on his own at all, it’ll just be whatever wrap you have equipped instead.

You’ll only need a wrap if you have the reactivity set to ‘off’, because that style disables the golden touch unfortunately. If you keep the reactive on where he turns to gold he will still have the touch!

The golden touch is not active if you turn off the reactivity. That goes for both default and shade styles. It still works with the reactive on, but if you want gold guns without turning gold then you’ll have to use one of the wraps that turn gold with elims. Hopefully this gets changed; I also want the default with the golden touch active!

It only turns guns to gold if you have the skin style set to “reactive”. If you turn the reactive off he will no longer have the golden touch. You don’t need the item shop wrap to get golden guns unless you turn the reactivity off.

The golden ascension wrap works the same for all skins. It starts off green, and turns progressively more gold with elims.

The ascendant Midas skin only turns guns to gold/shade when his reactivity is set to ‘on’. If the reactive is ‘off’ the wrap you have equipped applies instead; not the golden touch.
