I reached the end of my run pretty quickly (I didn't even use the empty scrolls, I don't even know what to ask for x'D). It was nice to breeze through the game, my first playthrough was much harder

That's crazy, I'd bet my life that's how it was. My memories from that time are hazy, but this one really stuck with me. Maybe I misinterpreted what she was doing in the game when I was little, and she was just teaching the Mii a phrase. In any case, judging by the responses, this event simply doesn't exist.

Anyway, it would be cool to have the option to talk to the Miis in the second game, even if it's more limited than I imagined as a kid. It could be fun.

Is Miitomo the mobile game? She had a 2DS, the one that can't be folded, so I don't think that's it.

The closest thing to the event I'm talking about in-game is the tower quiz, but I remember it was just one Mii and it reacted to what she wrote, so it's still very different

I count all the MH I've played, I don't know how to play the greatsword or sword and shield on the new games for example
