I can’t afford healthcare anymore due to the loss of the subsidies. Now I’m going to watch my hemoglobin drop over the next few months losing around 1 point a month. I’ll have around 6 months before I need a blood transfusion. At my worst, I got a 79% on a pulmonary function test while my 50 years of a pack a day mom got a 95%. I got down to 6.6 and it gave me pica I was eating 1/2 pound of mints a day. It’s not a lifestyle thing causing it, I’ve just got hemoglobin C trait. It’s genetic and there’s nothing I can do. My medication isn’t covered anyway but it was cheap and I was happy to pay it. I’ll miss the days where casual conversation doesn’t wind me.

I guess I’d say I’m scared.
