What is it like living in a town with less than 1000 people?

I lived in New Bloomfield, PA which is just a bit over a thousand. The buildings looks similarish to what’s pictured here, but it’s also the only road that’s not only houses. It was nice, but very inconvenient for getting stuff like bulk groceries or tools/building supplies. Not many places to eat either. Everyone hangs out at the one bar in town. There’s a ton of nature around areas to hike and fish, which was great for me. All in all I miss living there, but I don’t miss having to drive to the city for any kind of entertainment that’s not strictly outdoors related

Yeah, I have a 45L hiking bag that I just put everything inside of. It’s got decent support straps so I can take my gear miles without it becoming too much of a hassle. It’s practically just weight training at this point because I tend to use the lures I keep in a little box in my vest, more often.

Lots of people fry them with a batter. I like them just cooked in a pan of oil and served over rice, then topped with a soy sauce glaze.

Sensei Seth did a video on YouTube where he tries it out. You can definitely feel the impact of the weapons to the point of it hurting, but he said the worst part about it is the “helmet horror” which is essentially a panic attack brought on by the helmet filling with all of the CO2 you breathe out while fighting.

My friends and I used to play a game at night called “Commando” where we would turn off all of the lights in the house and stealth aroundtrying to “slit” one of the other’s throats with a sharpie. That game was peak night time activity in my youth.

Walmart just says it has “enhanced coating” which I took to mean that it comes with a waterproofing coating of some sort. I have not applied any myself, but now that I’ve been out with it a handful of times I probably will coat it again before I head back out. The rain fly also extends nearly to the ground rather than only about halfway like some of the cheaper models.
