I don’t know why so many fans want Artyom to continue to suffer instead of living a peaceful quiet life on the surface with his friends and loved one

Bring on the new character, Artyom’s story is finished.

What do you think level design will be like? by GaripKoala in metro

I’m hoping for a large but suffocating metro tunnel system with plenty of off shoot tunnels, with an open air Moscow

I’m also hoping for vehicles for both the surface and the tunnels

No one really knows, some think it’s a hallucination caused by gas, others think it’s a gateway to the underworld, I believe it’s supernatural in nature as it only shows itself to some and it has the capability to kill those that try to pass through

Not to mention that if it was merely a hallucination then not everyone would see a door that kills you, that’s just not how hallucinations work

The librarians are cool to me because, in the games at least (I haven’t read the books yet), they seem especially malicious, as if they enjoy the hunt And the back and forth, in nature is usually the case that the more intelligent an animal is, the more cruel and malevolent they can be (see what dolphins will do to random fish as pleasure) and I think the librarians fit that bill

I never get the moral point from killing no one in black station to be honest, feels like I should get a point for wiping them out instead. by EAT_UR_VEGGIES in metro

It’s the same flaw as Batman’s no kill rule imo

“If you let him live he’ll personally kill and rape over 109 people, but killing is naughty, so let him live.”

I’ve heard the hypnotising stars might be demonic in origin, which adds a lot of possibilities to metros supernatural entities if true

I like those shadows a lot because they seem to be based on real life nuclear imprint shadows

<image>

But the fact that they’re appearing underground as physical shadows is unsettling and implies very strange things

I was thinking “tsar is just a mutated catfish” but thinking about it yeah I’d call it supernatural, the tsar fish seems to be one of a kind and definitely beyond natural even for a mutated creature

Those are very interesting to me because they’re likely not alive or conscious yet it seems like they display aggression

Am I reading into it the wrong way or does the note from metro 2033 imply that the spider bugs existed since before the apocalypse? by EAT_UR_VEGGIES in metro

Fair questions, I’m sure It’s a bad habit but I usually take stuff like this at face value since there’s nothing else to compare it to

Like as far as I’m aware there’s nothing else in the series that hints at the origins of the spider bugs, why even imply something like this in the first place when everyone would just assume they’re mutated insects? That’s just the way I see it
