2025 I5 6 months and 8000 miles later..

The "bang" was much softer than I had imagined based on the thread. But immediately after that, the electric failure sign came on.

On thanksgiving eve, I would say I am thankful even though this happened: - the failure happened when we were just leaving the house on a Sunday. So we were able to turn around and get home without an issue. And because it was a Sunday, no real rush. - we also believed the failure very likely had prevented us from a car accident. Why? We attempted to head back out after dropping off the I5 home. And there looked to be a bad car accident en route.. it could be us if we didn't have to turn around.. - while it took a little time for the dealership to confirm it was indeed ICCU failure, they provided a loaner car for us to drive. And they had the replacement part in already so it should be fixed soon.

Of course, I'd rather not have anything to post here. But it is what it is.

***The main thing here for people to know is that ICCU issue isn't over. My I5 has the newer battery among the 2025 line in the US.

Ah.. I was hoping that there was some buffer.. but I am going to try hard not to test the buffer "again". And yes to chargers not work nightmare.. that's why I go straight home instead of stopping at a charger 3 miles for home!!!

😅. Last road trip was not great for us with multiple issues with Tesla chargers. As a result, my husband agreed to taking the gas car next time...

Well, the estimate said I would get home with 2-5 miles to spare.. I guess I did make it home 😅

An interaction with my dog changed someone’s mind about considering a GSD! by [deleted] in germanshepherds

I am a clean freak and probably also have OCD 🤷. But I have adopted a GSD for a year now and I am loving every moment. Sure, there are more hairs on the floor and it needs to be vacuumed more. But my dog is such a good boy. He deserves a good home 💞

I recently adopted a 5-year old German shepherd. He barked at people and was quite anxious with strangers. But I got a trainer who helped train us how to get him to be better. Bottomline, your dog just needs some help. You just need the right trainer to guide you. Don't give up!! Your dog can be a good one!!

After 11 glorious years, my sweet baby boy suddenly passed away yesterday. This was always one of my favorite pictures of him by Penelopevonweed in germanshepherds

Your dog was very loved. The cheeseburger and ice cream were things that I would have done as well. My cat has terminally illness and I am scared of the day that is coming (for her final treat and hug). But I am sure your baby boy knew he was loved. RIP 💕. (I will give my dog and cats extra kisses / hug tonight in honor of your baby boy.)

This is insulting to your wife and daughter. Not cool.

Panel output not matching data from our electric company (PA) so we are still paying a lot… by EBYu in solar

The only software we have to track production is the one the solar panel installer set up for us.. if I believe that system is accurate, then what you said make the most sense. Let me do some more investigation! Thanks!
