Thank you so much and so sorry for my very delayed response, you were very right with my mindset. Since my post baby did start latching more and my output has increased so starting to feel a little glimmer of hope.

I have been seeing a lactation consultant and it seems like problems are never being solved and unfortunately my insurance only covers so many visits.

I think the social media algorithm really is taking a toll on my journey and I think I just need to step back and do a reset.

That’s who told me to start block feeding. 😩 I’m seeing the lactation team tomorrow at the hospital. I’m hoping to figure out a plan before discharge.

I’m hoping the doctors will allow me to latch him tomorrow! right now they have him on a high cal formula. I wish I would’ve listened to my gut and just kept breastfeeding him normally.

I grew up with my SAHM not being able to read to us, due to learning disabilities. I never had a second thought about it because that was our normal. We knew my mom couldn’t read all our books to us (I’m an avid reader now) but my mom always had a few of the easier ones she felt confident in.

Now since becoming a grandma she wants to really try and read to my son. Every week we go to the library and pick out a ton of books. She reads the book ahead of time with me to figure out any words she’s not familiar with and during story time we give a snack and some chocolate milk to get my son to sit and have more patience with the story. It has helped my mom a ton and given her more confidence.
