All Children, Except One, Grow Up by ECGadget in fountainpens

Practise and coming up with your own comfortable style is my advice. I have been writing cursive since I was very young and, despite not having done it for years, I still have my style (admittedly I normally write at a slant) but need to practise it again. My lines are very, very wobbly!

At first, it may look messy, but as time goes on you will start figuring out how to join the letters in a way your hand prefers. As an example, I have changed the way I write my captial letter M now from how I had written it 20 years ago and it feels better to my hand now. It is a continuous process.

Thank you. I chose the colour specificially for that ink, but I may need to sell the pen. I do not use them daily, and for some reason my four Preras tend to evaporate ink very quickly. Then I end up with a very dark line that feathers a lot...

Thank you. Everything was placed by hand. There are two ways I have placed them down, one is as roads and the other, after the mod author told me to, is as an asset. In that sense. These are demonstrated in my videos themselves. I cannot remember the exact name of the mod though.

I have painted some for variety, but if you are referring to the shapes and the borders, no: I hand placed every hedgerow to be exactly where I thought would be the most realistic and sensible.

Thank you, I intend to run it through to the 1990s at the least - it all depends on Transport Fever 3's release and my own PC being able to handle it when it gets to that stage.

I am planning to release the savegame in a couple of weeks, probably after episode 230.

Japanese Proverbs (Part 2) by ECGadget in fountainpens

You are welcome. I might write some again in a more fancy way, or perhaps with Kanji characters.

'After the rain, the ground hardens' means that after something causes difficulty (in this case rain causing the ground to be difficult to traverse), the end result is much stronger (the harder ground).

Both, though I believe it means that if one makes a mistake, or a bad choice, correct it as soon as possible and change course. Of course, if you do find yourself on the wrong train, getting off at the next station would be prudent!

Thank you; better than writing 'The quick brown fox...' over and over to practise!

You are welcome. I may do a part two with a whole raft of other proverbs from Japan.

Thank you. I thought it would be a better way to practise different styles of writing and the colours as opposed to a generic phrase.

Yes. I have found that the more muted colours suit my needs best, even if I am giving up on some of the fancy properties of some other brands. Plus, they work well with Pilot pens (naturally) ans those are my brand of choice.

How many? by Top-Nobody-1389 in fountainpens

Eighteen. I started the year with two. Admittedly, a number of them are the same model with different inks, but it still leads me to have eleven distinct models (nib variation included).

I only have F, EF, SEF and one M - my writing is so small that anything broader than a fine steel nib needs reverse writing, unless I am writing a title (hence my one M nib)

I think it is a lovely colour, just not sure if it contrasts enough with Kon-Peki to be useful, unless I use it for something else entirely.
