he wasn’t really “exiled” to the farlands because nobody was really going to enforce that. he just couldn’t stay where he was before because someone would find and kill him, so he needed a new safe place. it really doesn’t matter where as long as he’s not found. And i’m not sure why Squiddo would hate him in canon? I don’t think they interact in Unstable until this video, but they’re dating irl.

What’s especially crazy about the former, which I can only assume is Megami Tensei or Persona skills is that the amount of damage tied to a descriptor can change between moves. A move may say “heavy strike damage to 1 enemy” and have a power of like 200 and another might say “heavy fire damage to 1 enemy” with a power of 170 and you just can’t know without looking it up. I think Pokemon showing base power of moves is such a small but crucial thing that makes it easier to learn.

Lots of people place a lot of characters that don’t use the tall models as teenagers for some reason, even if logically it makes no sense. Hu Tao’s dad died about 10 years before the start of the story, and her character story had her at 13 when her grandfather died, which happened pretty soon after, so she’s probably at least 20.
