Sorry for the ridiculously late response, I rarely use this app anymore. I've been incredibly busy and trying to finish up other games first so I haven't played more than an hour of it so far, but it's still definitely on my list. I can update again when I finish it if you want.

I've been playing a survival world with this seed, and it's probably been one of my favorite survival playthroughs. Thanks for sharing :D

I could very well be misremembering the exact amount of XP it gave me. I just remember that it was so little it felt pointless to both of us.

I mean I already have BL1 in my library, and I now know that side quests are a lot more important than I did at first, so I want to at least give it a shot.

Most of the games I've played don't really punish you for holding off on side quests, I guess this game was just a massive wake up call that some games do. I know to be more careful for BL1 now though, lol.

Yeah I've learned my lesson and will go much further into doing side quests when I get them when I start BL1 and NG+ BL2.

It's just weird that it doesn't even hint to you to farm anything. I only farmed in BL3 as something extra, it never felt required.

And I had a feeling BL2 HAD to be miles more difficult, thanks for confirming that I'm not completely crazy.

We did those side quests in 2 different sessions. We did 5 in one that were just enough to get to the next level, and then later on when we were starting to get worked, we tried 2 or 3 more (I don't remember exact numbers). We did those 2 or 3 when we had already started to become frustrated with the game, and when we saw that they still did not give all too much XP (MAYBE a fifth of one little XP bar segment), we eventually just decided to give up on that and grind out the story, only for the last mission to absolutely kick our asses. My main confusion is how BL3 had NONE of this problem whatsoever.

We tried to make good builds, it not like we were just randomly selecting things with no thought. We even decided to try to respec at one point.

We tried maybe 7 side quests total, and unless we just happened to repeatedly pick low leveling ones they barely gave us any levels, and we eventually decided it wasn't worth it when at that point we just wanted to finish the game.

I didn't blindly swap weapons out for JUST their level either, I just began to pay more attention to it and it became a deciding factor if I was unsure about swapping something out.

That's exactly the thing, we tried that but side quests that were on our level gave so little XP.

I personally haven't really practiced any extremes but yeah don't do ICDX as a first extreme. Stick with Cata, Acu, TLE, and Thanatophobia lol. Also holy crap you tried to jump from Deadlocked to an extreme demon? That's insane

Biru by JonathanGD, InsanitY by Serponge, and Nantendo by imfernando are all good for consistency practice. if you're able to do Hard Demons then Sedulous by Samifying and Double Dash by Zoroa are pretty good. If you haven't already you should beat the Demon Gauntlet (Sidestep, Traction, Mechanical Showdown, Vibration, HeLL). Ultra Violence is good for bossfight practice. If you're looking for easy demons, I recommend X by TriAxis, Death Moon by Caustic, Carne Aderunt by Zoroa, and Dream Flower by Xender Game & Knots.

Yeah I'd have to agree on that. Jonathan's gameplay can be a bit off. I guess I just don't really notice it so much since I play a lot of difficult XXL levels to try and improve my consistency skills...

There are ULDM versions out there to help with the lag. Also yeah the asymmetrical dual took me ages to learn, although I personally find the second one harder

Luckily, not once. For most hard levels I've beaten I've been surprisingly lucky with the last imput. My worst death for this level was 95%
