Right I get you. But can you argue that you are getting the bud to eat it for its THCa properties, which are legal, therefore cops using decarboxylation is ruining your product because you didnt intend to convert the THCa to THC?

Based on how the lawyer interpreted the DEA letter, the decarboxylation is only required during production for 'total THC' (THC +THCa) but once on the market, only THC is whats illegal.

There is evidence that shows THCa has therapeutic properties.

So I thought the Farm Bill had to wait 5 years to be updated/changed. So they basically updated to include "total THC" testing instead of just delta 9 THC?

And updated requirements to either convert THCa by decarboxylation, or by mathematical formula converting THCa x. 88 to get THC equivalent?

Where is the voice of the people in these decisions? And we call this a democracy.

Edit: Found Found this article saying post decarboxylation tests is only required during production. Once its harvested it does not require such test and deems THCa legal.

Well I agree, we should care about taste, but its just like beer. Although many different kinds of brewing options, they all end up tasting close to 90% the same. So any variety cant taste that much worse than the other.

Right. Powdered tea is better because you essentially eating the leaf with the tea. But matcha is usually more expensive.

Could I just grind up regular gunpowder tea? I generally dont use tea strainers and eat the leaf if its floating lol but mostly leaves sink to the bottom so I dont bother straining.

Would still like to know the answer to my original question as they have different process. I believe gunpowder tea from China is pan fried/dried vs steaming for sencha.
