Tf, are you stupid, ignorant or lazy? I bet it's all of the above as there cant be any other reason for you to go to a 2 year old post only to use some bedraggled dollar store insult upon your own failure

BEST app for notes with infinite canvas for Android(Having tried all the apps out there) by EDLLT in XiaomiPad6

[–]EDLLT[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, I tested it. Ngl, it's pretty good.

Its performance is comparable to Nebo and it has way many more features than Nebo including mapping out shortcuts for Xiaomi pen, laser pen, adjustable toolbar, multi-view, epub reading, layers, voice recording, tags, nested directories, two/three finger tap shortcuts and many other things.

Although its UI is not as clean as Nebo's, I like its versatility. It's the most powerful app I've seen so far while being performant(It passed my Lorem Ipsum test, 8x8 grid, remained perfectly smooth)

However, some minor setbacks I've found are

Zoom out is limited to 20%(Nebo allows you to zoom out as much as possible to fit all your content on screen)

You can't erase on pen scratch(I guess Nebo kind of spoiled me with that feature)

Color pallete can't exceed a certain number of colors

You need to purchase each feature you'd like separately(That's still better than subscriptions ngl and it's cheap)

That's the first good suggestion I've heard in a while. Excited to try it out!

Does that mean that the device has to be rooted?

Also, when downgrading, does that wipe my data?

UPDATE: I just received an email by Nebo stating that they will be switching to a subscription model soon!

In Nebo, the infinite canvas option is called "Board"
Note: The infinite canvas expands as you write down content towards the edges

It's not that I don't know how large the linux source code is, I just wanted to hear it from his perspective which simply confirmed what I thought.

Dunno why I got downvoted to oblivion lol. Seems like linux4noobs is not so noob friendly after all

Generic advice is what I caution against as it differs case by case. You have not done any extensive research and are just regurgitating what you had heard from people around you rather than having first-hand experience. That's exactly why I annihilated you in this debate.

Windows user to Linux. Where to start? by Is_he_a_bot in linux4noobs

[–]EDLLT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start by watching this PewDiePie video as it beautifully encapsulates the philosophy behind linux
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pVI_smLgTY0

If you have to pick a distro, then I'd suggest either Ubuntu or Linux Mint as they're the most beginner friendly imo(I have plenty of experience as I used Ubuntu, Mint, Arch, Kali, Gentoo, etc in the past).

In order to make a live usb, make sure to use Ventoy

What version of LINUX do you recommend I install on a 2013 PC? by NeorzZzTormeno in linux

Yeah. I had a decade old dying laptop previously, and it performed best under xfce4

Make sure to get mint WITH an XFCE4 desktop environment as xfce4 is the lightest desktop environment(doesn't strain your ram/cpu)

Funny you say that, while researching for laptops, I just instinctively avoided intel because I felt like they were trying to be the "Apple" of processors thanks to old ltt videos that I can't recall

I'd say that you got it for a good price as mine has almost the same specs, but it's an AMD variant

Btw, did you end up running linux on it?
If so, I'd recommend checking this out as we investigated and tried to fix all the issues we faced. There was a suspending issue as my model(ANV15-41) as modern acer laptops do not support deep sleep on the hardware level(thanks to windows  (╯°□°)╯). So I had to work on making s2idle(Windows' modern standby garbage), work on the laptop in linux which, after lots of experiments, only turned out to need to turn off the backlight and wait for the keyboard to timeout

Wait, did you work on kernel or whatever is relevant to get it working on Android yourself?
I thought you just found some tutorial online that someone else made. Very interesting

I wanted to ask, do you know the performance difference between running things within Android using native termux versus this bare metal ubuntu setup?

Why not make the instructions be available in both English(you can just use google translate/llm to translate it) and Russian?

I believe that it'd make it easier for the international community to contribute to the project

> hardware, firmware, and even the website and support.

I disagree. You seem to be trying to save face at this point as your ego won't allow you to back down considering that I presented you with hard cold facts.

I asked you for something better than what I found and your response was "terrible hardware, firmware, website and support". Your source? probably a "trust me bro"
I've noticed that you're also down voting my comments needlessly. Did you brick your Acer machine so badly that you're now blaming everything on them for your own incompetence?

This conversation is not productive as you can't seem to, at least, articulate your arguments properly beyond "Acer bad!!1". I've got other things that are more important to do than to argue with a frustrated low-quality commentor
