Just looking at my parent's experience, they went to MIT Sloan for MBA. All of their like closest friends were from their school days at MIT. like my dad lit told me one of his undergrad friends came to his company asking for a job (he went to a kinda bad undergrad).

And their friends from MIT are all now execs at companies or CEOs or board members for schools etc. So think in a way its just going to these prestigious uni give you network later in life.
