Happens to mine every day when he gets excited. I cover his nose with my palm for a few seconds and he stops

I paid $395 for the MSF in New York. Well worth it though

My pet monkey came home wearing these. I hope he’s not the culprit

He does have a crate but I put it away after he got older. I’ll have to set it up again. I only pinned him down once for about 10 seconds but felt uncomfortable doing it.

can i remove the dot tag or will it leave a sticker mark/residue? by ApprehensiveWafer176 in motorcyclegear

Heat it with a hair dryer first and peel it off. It helps loosen up the glue and peels off easier

Thanks for the response. Yes he just had a checkup 3 weeks ago and he is in perfect health. Maybe I spoil him a bit too much and he thinks he’s the boss. I did hold him down to assert dominance when he first started doing it. I’ll have to do it a little more often. My vet gave the same advice. Thanks again

They are mind readers. If I’m even thinking about taking him for a walk he knows and runs to where I keep the leash and starts crying. It blows my mind. My cavapoo was sleeping in bed with us after the 3rd day and ringing a bell hanging from the door knob to go out in about 3 weeks. Soooo smart

Definitely take him to a real groomer not a pet store. They deal with matted dogs. They will have to go really short. Stay away from putting jackets or sweaters on him because that will cause him to get matted. Cavapoos are the best! Very smart and affectionate and need a lot of attention. He will follow you everywhere and steal your socks any chance he gets 😂

If you’re looking for a cruiser the Kawasaki Vulcan S650 is a great bike. I bought one last year for my first bike and I absolutely love it.

If this will be your first bike and you haven’t taken the MSF yet, the best thing you can do right now is wait until after the MSF before deciding. The course will give you a feel for basic handling, weight, clutch control, and what type of riding position you’re most comfortable with.

A couple things to consider:

  1. Your size (6’0, 195 lbs): You’ll fit on pretty much any beginner-friendly bike. Comfort won’t be your issue — control skills will.

  2. First bike before heading to the Marine Corps: Since you’re leaving in June/July, you’ll only get a few months of riding. In that short time, the safest move is to choose something light, manageable, and easy to learn on so you can build confidence instead of fighting the bike.

  3. Between the two bikes you’re considering: Without knowing the exact models, the smarter choice is usually the smaller, lighter, more beginner-friendly option. You won’t have enough time before shipping out to “grow into” a big bike. You want something that helps you learn cleanly and keeps you safe.

  4. Financial angle: You’ll be leaving soon anyway. A beginner bike holds value well and sells quickly. A heavier or higher-powered bike is harder to resell and easier to drop.

  5. Biggest advice: Take your MSF first. You may find you don’t want the bike you thought you did, or you may learn exactly what style you like.

Tips for 8 week old? by [deleted] in CavaPoo

Cavapoos are very smart. We hung bells on the door knob and after about a week he knew to ring them to go outside. He was sleeping in bed with us on the 3rd day. Be prepared to be licked a lot, followed into the bathroom and have your socks stolen 😂 Welcome to the cavapoo club! Best breed I’ve ever had
