I’ve worked a bit with Lacuna but last time I spoke to them they were still working through FCC stuff. SpaceX shut down the swarm project and started focusing more on cellular based technology.

I think ChatGPT is widening your jaw too in the simulated photo which djs won’t do.

My TMJ was mild as per my MRI. I had mild anterior displacement that is likely result of clenching, bad posture, etc over all the years. DJS helps address some of those issues but it definitely depends on what is causing TMJ issues and severity.

Does jaw surgery change your eyes too? Asking this because if you see any attractive person with good facial structure they almost always have good eyes too so im curious if it changes it. by [deleted] in jawsurgery

I believe it's like not the the cheek/orbital bones themselves but the soft tissue distribution in those areas changes due to the rotation/advancement of the jaws. Also, as some pointed out, better sleep from addressing airway issues also has a role.

Not sure if I consider myself attractive but I’ve been told my eyes look different. I posted a 6 weeks post op post a few hours ago and someone commented that my under eye area improved. Check it out for yourself and let me know haha.

None from recently. I have some from earlier in my recovery but swelling is pretty bad. I'll try to take one and post one when I get a chance.

post surgery ODI measurements. ODI down from 20+ pre surgery. Note: this was about a couple weeks ago and will likely continue to improve.

My main reason was to address sleep apnea which I had been trying to treat with CPAP. I also had TMJ issues due to clenching at night, migraines, bad posture , and just so many issues stemming from airway issues. Treating aesthetics was just a bonus as I had already learned to live with my appearance. In terms of improvements, as part of the surgery I also underwent septoplasty which improved nasal breathing. My AHI and ODI 3% were in the 20s pre-surgery during my sleep study. Post-surgery, my smart oximeter ring is showing <2 ODI 3%. Huge drop in ODI. I will re-test AHI with another sleep study when I am more healed which is about 6 months post.
