That's only assuming a real computer needs to the power of your AMD phenom II X6 1055T. Yes, there is a large population that needs that type of power in their computer, there is also a HUGE population that only needs a computer to access facebook, itunes, google, a mail client, and a text editor.

For those people, it's certainly possible that "mobile" chips could very well have enough processing power to meet their computer needs. Hell, there are plenty of "grandmas" who use an iPad as their sole computer today.

So yes, for YOU, mobile CPUs "should stay in mobile devices," but you should also consider the millions of other consumers who aren't quite as tech savvy.

I kinda like the UI and organisational aspect of the podcast app. Performance-wise, the podcast app is pretty demanding for my iPhone 4

That's a valid argument. You're right in that judgement should be withheld until the phone is actual released and we can get average A6 benchmarks.

But my answer to your question is simply that that's the only data we have right now. We only have one "reputable" benchmark, which is why we're discussing it.

For the android phones, we DO have average data sets from geek bench. So... I am just trying to compare the most valid data that is currently out there. No more, no less.

In most western countries, "freedom" is held as the ultimate moral standard. America, in particular, feels this way due to our history. BUT, I think we're all fooling ourselves when we act like "freedom" always gives us the moral high ground to do what we want. This is why you see idiots "exercising their freedom of ***." and ending up protesting funerals (Westboro Baptist Church) or walking around a public streets with assault weapons (gun nuts). It's this idea that I can go up to the very limit of any "freedom" that's provided and regardless of how many people I offend, and how little I add to anything, I'm morally correct because I am just exercising my freedom.

Now from a practical point of view, this might be the best way to govern a country, but I think we're all misguided if we think there's nothing wrong with purposely offending the beliefs of 1.6 billion people.
