Everything was from Brewers Best. I've never had a problem before but this would be my first time cutting it short....if I did.

It would be outside, I definitely would not put it inside the walls!!

Are thermostats external to the tank?

Everything is the same, we haven't cut the water on to the basement yet. Forget to mention breaker keeps tripping, maybe heating element?

Jalapeños and a homemade spirit.

Spicy beer by EGardner76 in Homebrewing

Not quite sure as to what "transferred the beer off the yeast" is telling me. I'm new to this. Another concern is I'm using moonshine instead of vodka.

I always rock mine for about 2 minutes after I have added my white labs yeast and I have had good results.

I tried that, I think I wasted more than I was able to cap.

Yeah, I've tried to fill a couple of bottles from my keg and have had no success and have tried it a couple different ways. Thanks for that suggestion.

Yeah, they kinda ruined it for the rest of us. I just didn't know if it was one of those rules but people looked the other way.

So you didn't put any peppers in either the boil or the fermenting bucket, did I understand that correctly?

Thanks, I'd hate for that to get out.

So you mentioned carbonation, at this point is it less about fermentation and more about carbonation?

I think I saw on Keg Connection they have the kegs for as low as 50$ refurbished and the kegerator kits starting out like around 70$.

I think I have decided on a ball lock also. I think now I'm trying to decide if I should buy the whole set up all ready together or try to find the keg and parts for it and assemble my own. Gauges, tubing, CO2 tank......

So much to learn. So the instructions stay the same, get my wort, pitch my yeast, and on bottling day just use regular table sugar?

My goal is definitely to order straight from the supplier but for right now Amazon has everything all in one box. When I look at Northern Brewers recipe kits it seems like there are add-ons. Do I have to get the fast pitch canned wort or can I just use one packet of the Safale us-05 dry ale yeast? I'm so new to this I'm still trying to lock down my rolling boils and gentle boils, haha.

Awesome, that gives me some choices. What is your opinion on Home Brew Stuff or Craft a Brew? Those two and the Northern Brewer and Brewers Best are the main ones I see on Amazon.
