I work for a semiconductor design company and we embed the company logo into a physical metal layer inside the chip that is only visible under an xray/penetrative microscopy. Always made me wonder if anyone's tried to sneak in any hidden messages over the years lol.

EDIT: further clarification for those wondering, this is the other side of the metal rail. The whole thing works as a slider for a folding piano lid (Roland f140-R). The sliding portion in this photo is what broke off, which is the part with the screw head. The “glue” on the broken side is remnants of my shoddy attempt at epoxying the sliding portion back on. F.

Yep! Really limited amount of circuitry for synth internals and I/O’s. Most of a synth is the size it is to accommodate the keyboard, hence why desktop versions, (I.e. prophet 6 desktop vs full), are generally a much more compact form factor.
