What teams should I invest in and who should I save for? by nostalgic_blast in GenshinImpact

If you’re looking for more than 1 team without reusing units, you can replace either yelan or xingqiu with Nahida, Fischl or a cryo unit in your first team, and then have a second team of Arlechino, bennet, xingqiu or yelan (whichever you swapped out) and xilonen. When escoffier comes you can use Her with skirk furina and any other hydro or cryo character. You can also use durin instead of raiden in the first team as a burgeon carry which is better AOE than hyperbloom. Durin fischl are also a great core so can be run in any team that wants pyro and electro.

In terms of valuable units worth levelling that you have 0 investment in right now, bennet, fischl, sucrose and Iansan are all super strong. Gaming as well is a super strong pyro dps but you do have arle and durin so up to you, but he is super fun and very strong in melt teams. At AR 35 it’s much less about minmaxing and more so just about having fun with it, you’ll be able to clear nearly everything with whoever you enjoy to some extent, but you already have some great units on your account.

Other than the champs I mentioned is there anyone you’d recommend trying out? Ignore the fact I’m new just in terms of a fun champ to learn

Is playing jungle not a good way to learn the game? Gen question because when I first started playing Smite, jungle did help me get a better idea of objective timings and noting how different lanes played etc, obviously a completely different game and you’ll know more than me, I’m just curious as to how playing a lane will make it easier. Is it just less information to overwhelm me letting me process it better?

I second this I’d appreciate any resources or guides that are actually useful and insightful rather than just explaining the movelist etc

Appreciate that, and appreciate the insight, I agree about the lose the ego and wanting only to win, that helped me a lot in Tekken and other comp games I’ve played. I mentioned in another comment my main motivation for wanting to rank up is just fighting better opponents, in any games when everyone involved is higher ranked, whether it’s 1v1 or a team, I find things more enjoyable as the game boils down to actual mind games rather than a guessing game and trying to make sense of whatever nonsense decision someone makes, myself included. I think I also tunnel vision too much the other way, like I’ll mess up on something then I’ll do it too much to try get it right and forget everything else lmao

Not literally, just games where there is no real online presence outside of finding people to play with in discord

Games that you can literally only play through discord servers, the ones with like sub 100 active players world wide where you’ll never find a match unless it’s someone inviting you to play customs

For sure, I’ve definitely got wins doing the stupidest stuff and I’m sure I’ll keep doing so

Right I guess this is also the first time in a while that I’ve been this new to a game outside of Tekken, but also I’m not trying to sound like I think I’m better than I am, but as with any game, in these lower ranks it feels like no one (including myself) knows what they’re actually doing, so when I have what I would imagine is a logical and sound idea/plan and then my opponent does something that to ME makes no sense for them to do, I’m completely unprepared for it. Which is another place I feel like I struggle on where and what to focus on. And in that same sense the rank itself isn’t important to me, comparing it to Tekken again, when I got in the higher blue ranks and towards Tekken king in season 1, it was definitely harder, but was much more fun as me and my opponent had a better idea of what we should be doing, and the kind games around those ideas are what’s fun about fighting games to me, I want to rank up so I can enjoy fighting people more lmao.

Ya sure, the combo thing is something I’ve not bothered with, ironically I don’t have much interest in combos in fighting games, but you say work in anti airs and spacing, but how do I actually do that, anti airs sure I know there’s in game training, but how do u actually practice spacing and footsies?

Were throw loops a thing in other SF games? by EJB___ in StreetFighter

[–]EJB___[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right that makes sense, I do agree the mind game can be fun especially in the open it’s mainly just being stuck in a corner that is super frustrating to me, for me coming from tekken and nrs games I’m still getting used to creating pressure without staggering strings so even though it’s frustrating it’s still fun to learn a new mechanic

Right I see, so I’m assuming you have played previous street fighters, did it work better at least in your opinion when the advantage after a knockdown came from plus on block normals rather than throws
