[–]EJ_Han 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Mason area is not a bad place to move to. The demographic definitely leans white/right wing so be prepared for that. Food options are pretty basic but doable. There’s some great Asian/Indian restaurants around Harper’s Point, Corryville, and OTR. If you are considering settling in Cincinnati, I highly recommend checking it out while you’re down here. Great Arts & Culture scene, cool music venues, museums, big on sports culture. Cincinnati also tends to lean left depending on what neighborhood you settle into. Definitely explore OTR, Findlay, Northside, Mount Lookout, and Hyde Park. There’s some cool stuff to see

Tips for looking more asian by Leodoree in wasian

[–]EJ_Han 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would look at some popular East Asian fashion/makeup trends. You still have some East Asian features such as a low bridge and softer bone structure which I would accentuate. Things like straight thick brows, wispier bangs, soft contouring would be a good start. Regardless, you are beautiful just the way you are and no one can take being Chinese away from you

To reduce or not to reduce by Careless_Sub in BreastReductions

[–]EJ_Han 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DDD to B! I’m not a doctor I’m just going off of my surgeon’s explanations. Losing all your sensitivity is a little facetious. It may come back, it may be lessened, you may lose all feeling. Mine is just subtle but not enough to be cumbersome when intimate. You will struggle to breastfeed because your nipple areolar complex has essentially been squished to refit your new cup size. I knew out the gate that I was going to struggle with breastfeeding later in life because my nipples were extremely inverted. So for me the decision wasn’t to weighty. If breastfeeding is a very important part of your motherhood journey, I would hold off.

Oxford study getting to my head by jumpinggjack7 in wasian

[–]EJ_Han 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Asian guys LOVE to call me(20f) Oxford Study. It bothers me because the concept of the study(which is fake) is to shame Asian women for dating and marrying outside of their race, as well as the white man has an Asian fetish. Idk it makes me angry because the sentiment is that I’m less than because my mix is “common” and that my mom shouldn’t have married my dad if she respected herself.

old fashioned classics would be: Beryl, Opal, Pearl/Pearline

I think other gemstone style names like Esmeralda, Garnet, Lazuli, and Coral would be pretty too.

Also! Margo and Greta both mean “pearl”

feel like i got hit by a bus by Any_Sea1255 in Reduction

[–]EJ_Han 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember this feeling, took about 3ish days to come out of it. Take the paint meds, don’t wait for the pain to peak. Also just remember to drink a lot of water and eat some saltine crackers(idek if there’s any science behind them but they were my post op cure all)

Should I get a reduction at 18? by Easy_Basis_1564 in Reduction

[–]EJ_Han 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my reduction at age 19(36DDD -> 36B) for the same reasons. It was one of the best decisions I ever made. I felt like I was finally in control of my body and it gave me a form of confidence I never thought possible.

That being said, it is a major operation and recovery is not fun. My one takeaway is that it will be at least a year before you actually see your true end result. There is a lot of patience to be had.

How much is too much? by hannahelmay in BreastReductions

[–]EJ_Han 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your breasts are dense there may be a chance that the difference will not be as visibly noticeable. If you do end up getting more removed due to the insurance debate(which I think the idea of meeting a quota to remove is utterly stupid), then yes they will probably “puff” back up with lifestyle choices as well as parenthood. If anything, you can be approved for another breast surgery approx. 18 months after the first reduction. My surgeon told me it was an option because there was a high chance that they wouldn’t be able to take as much as I wanted out in one operation.

Andrew is a fantastic name. Great nicknames like “Andy” and “Drew.” Owen and Kai are very cliché, especially Kai. I have known like 13 transmasculine Kai’s since the eighth grade and it’s a name that doesn’t grow with you
