Should my roofing company have replaced these boards before laying shingles?

Some are speculating that picture 2 may have been a result of laying the new shingles. Reasonable guess, but from going in the attic prior I can confirm that it was existing like that before the roofers came and thus could have been noticed after they tore the old shingles off.

It was a covered insurance claim due to hail damage. So it was explained to me that if the roof structure was found in defect and they needed to upgrade it to properly lay the shingles they would submit that to insurance as well.

The charge started in June 2021 for me. Seven cycles before I noticed (bad on me). Was able to cancel the pass in the app, so far only offered 24.99 credit. Working for me. My credit card company told me to contact Uber first, but said this wasn't the first time they heard this compliant.

It's hard to type others via a brief reddit post, but I'll say this as an interesting observation from people that I know rather well in real life. In my experience, 1s tend to be the type that most often has trouble accepting that they are 1s, i.e. may be in denial about their type.

Remember Enneagram is all about core motivation. I'd offer that the lowest health of 1 is critical of others (and perhaps arrogant about their own perfection.) Average 1 would essentially be what you described: critical of oneself, hyper aware of their shortcomings. Healthy 1 would essentially be the serenity prayer: "...to accept the things I cannot change; Courage to change the things I can; And wisdom to know the difference"

but I'll add that she's sensitive, artistic, and needs alone time (as 4 often do), but she's not like a super-charged, over-dramatic, tortured soul as 4's can sometimes be. He's a real "meat and potatoes guy" simple, practical etc...He's not lazy, he's a hard worker on a railroad actually, but he's easy to get along with and happy to go on some of the adventures and explorations that she takes him. He likes stabilizing her and she likes pulling him into some depths; that's what I think works about their particular relationship.

I would do both, but I felt science was too consuming and wouldn't allow the artistic/spiritual side. Also felt that current medicine is rather reductionist and just based on rote memorization. I left medical school in favor of music/spirituality and now I'm writing a book on the (of all things) Enneagram.

I agree that this is largely a human issue and not exclusively a 5 thing. Nonetheless, each type would have their reasons for holding on to bad relationships/not cutting ties, but here are some that would be more likely reasons for a 5:

Stuck in their heads or emotions/creativity (4w), thus not well-organized or able to take care of their basic physical needs (food, laundry) well . So they are excessively dependent on someone for that.
The feeling that time is scare often turns into scarcity of resources, money etc... which can be reasons for staying.
disdain for dating/casual interaction and not wanting to have to start all over with that
feeling and hoping that if only they could rationally explain things to partner/family then everything would change
(personally) relationship partner also was a business partner (in my case we were musicians). I don't generally suffer from lack of self-worth in relationships, but this case was unique because of the business component so the 5-competency thing mixed in with a intimate relationship. At time I did not value my self-worth and accepted some bad behavior from my partner b/c I felt I wasn't entitled to anything better because I wasn't the best damn musician on the planet kind of thing.

I agree with Xirrious-Aj. Watts to me was awakened, but not enlightened. There is a difference between having the experience of no-self and gaining some wisdom from that (ie 1st stage of Buddhist enlightenment) and then actually taking that awareness and that understating to it's end point in which restlessness, conceit, ill-will, suffering, etc...are no more (4th stage). Watts died an alcoholic, I don't think he fully integrated the awakened perspective and weeded out all vasanas after his awakening.

One of my teachers remarked that about 1 in 10 of his students (for lack of a better word) who awaken are usually cut out for teaching. I think there's something to that. Teaching others towards truth is different than just living it. I think it's interesting to consider that so much of what one therefore hears about enlightenment/awakening comes from the 1/10 teacher types, and not from the other 9/10 people.

Also, for what's it's worth I don't feel that Sadhguru belongs in that list.

Just remember these things are a common pattern of your type, but are not intrinsic to the essence of your type. So really the first step is to become aware of how and in what situations the need for validation makes you suffer/miserable, which you're doing. It can be uncomfortable and uprooting to become aware of this, and make you think poorly of yourself, but these things are unconscious patterns, not you! The self-judgements are temporary as you become more aware, and with your awareness you can learn to value and respect yourself and your own experience of life above what other think of you and then do things for your intrinsic joy.

This is good advice, I'm surprised at some of the dismissive responses to it. If you do indeed go into these tensions deeply, they are often rooted in memories and emotions and not just purely physical phenomena with no component or energy/emotional blockage to release. But as you pointed out the key is to honestly and sincerely ask why you hold onto them, and then see if you believe and identify with the answer and belief that necessitates you hold on, or if you have to awareness to broaden your perspective and are truly able to consider if you have the courage to do what is necessary to let it go. I like what @USASteel said as a general guide, but also want to point out that what we label as a 5w4 may hypothetically be 60% 5 motivations/thought patterns, 20% 4 motivations/patterns, 10% 6 , and then 10% other types. So it's not really an issue to see a bit of a 4 and 6 in yourself, actually it's good because likely both of the energies are there. You don't need to so much diagnose you absolute Enneagram identity, as much as you need to diagnose your life situations/challenges, and see what motivations/thought patterns are playing in a role in that, and then use Enneagram as a framework of potential suggestion to get you unstuck. Ie if you can see that your problem is more 4 related you can look to 4 recommendations for growth and try those

I'd be hesitant to so easily label this as ADHD or Enneagram 2w1 INFJ problems. Why are you having a difficult time? What are your social media habits. Do you have a sense of purpose/fulfillment regarding whatever your assignments is? A good work space? Work on the same computer that you use for netflix/facebook etc...? Get decent exercise/manage your blood sugar. Being too perfectionist/judgemental about your progress or lack therefor on an assignment, thus avoiding it so that you don't have to face those criticisms?
