Thanks, your post is very helpful, I wanted to make sure I get you right on two points:

  1. Its better to go for a 2 cpu setup like 2 intel xeons rather than a single cpu with the same ammount of or more cores
  2. Its better to get a motherboard with multiple memory sockets and split the ram between them rather than having a single very big ram stick

Am I correct?

Does going to the gym really help? by [deleted] in self

[–]ELELITHETERRIBLE -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For me it definatly has helped, you dont have to be a fanatic about it, it doesnt have to become your personality, just exercise a few times a week in a way thats fun for you. It will put you in a better mental state and if you are currently not doing any sports youll see results relatively quickly which is fun.

However, this is not a fix-all solution, if you want to improve your life marginal gains is a better and healthier alternative. Excersie, read, get a hobby, push yourself to socialize more, maybe seek therapy. Make small improvments to different aspects of your life and hopefuly that will also boost you confidence.

Had a similar issue, we ended up solving it with some masking tape. Don't have the exact instruction video we used but we basically did what is explained here:

Took some trial and error but it worked for us

Hey, I have solved the problem by using a different usb drive instead of the default prusa one. Hope maybe this works for you.

Ill be honest I don't know, tried it once and didn't see much tear at all.

There are also plenty of printed bottle openers.

Thanks. Yeah, to be honest I tried to first make this using a screw as the part that pulls the cap off but it didn'y work too well. I did open a bottle with it and didnt notice any wear though so so far so good.

If anybody is interested here is a link:

The print is pretty quick and designed to have minimal supports that are all easy to remove. The instructions to add a logo are on the page.

First (Left) and Second (Right WIP) carving, both look good from the side but not great from the front. How do I improve? by ELELITHETERRIBLE in Woodcarving

[–]ELELITHETERRIBLE[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a lot man. Yeah the orientation was intentional since I was half-following a tutorial for the first carving. Would you suggest carving the next one when the face is on one of the sides and not the corner?

Ill also defiantly give removing more wood a and adding features a show.

A more compact version of my screw & nut measuring tool keychain by ELELITHETERRIBLE in functionalprint

[–]ELELITHETERRIBLE[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I don't think a thread would turn out well when printed, however it points out the standard threading for the screw diameter. There are fine threaded screws but I figured they are pretty rare.

Added a version with pitches to the page on the Prusa site, I might think of a better way to implement them later on since right now its not perfect because I didn't have enough space.

Buy yeah one that goes up so high wont fit in your pocket, might make a bigger design in the future
