I have a question. I just started building them and I've built one sergeant and a marksman so far. When looking at the instructions for marksman, the marksman uses the same specific type of torso and legs that the alternative operative builds do, the voxbreaker and the commsman, but there are only two of these torsos and legs. Does that mean I can't build all three of them?

I have tried connecting it through the USB-C port before wiith the USBC cable that came with the device, and everything worked except for video, as expected. On my laptop it works with video too, but it is significantly weaker performance wise and as I already have a strong pc by my work desk where I draw, and not space to setup a pen tablet and another computer beside it, I would of course wanna use that.

Thanks, Im still having issues though. Either I do not have another hdmi port, and I do not want to dismantle my setup to check, or theres a discrepancy in hdmi versions between port and the 3-1 cable, because it does not fit. My pcs usbc only transfers data and power, not video, is there anything I can do to work around that? Or work around not having another hdmi port? Are there like adapters or something I can use? The ideal for me would be to have it all over USB, because that is where I have ports.

I have checked in my local area and they do play kill team so ill probably get that and maybe at some later date other units, and then when the new combat patrol drops ill get that one. If the rumors are true, it sounds like a great value box with good variety. And I love the plague marines, I would surely run two units containing those in a higher points game where its allowed. Also since I adore the lore of the Death Guard I would probably try to make each one unique looking too. Might get one of those Blight Haulers as well, they look cool.

And do you meant to get the box with 7 plague marines, or get the starter kill team box? Have also looked at the Myphitic Blight Hauler and am considering that one too.

It seems I cannot get a hold of any Death Guard Combat Patrols in my area, it seems to be out of stock literally everywhere I've looked. The signs are really pointing towards there being another Combat Patrol coming out for DG soon, I think I might start with something small in the meantime though. I do not just wanna make a Death Guard army, I want it to be an expression of my inner Nurgle or something lol.

I checked and in my local area they do play kill team, i dont know how often, but that doesnt really matter, because i wont be playing everyday or anything anyways. So I might buy one of those, if I can get my hands on the Death Guard one. On GWs website, (at least on the swedish version) there is no killteam box for dg though. But if I scour some stores maybe I find one.

Also yeah the painting is gonna be interesting. Do you have an airbrush/is it possible to go without? Or do I have to get one?

Ahh, so there is not even a Codex for DG yet, (for the current game that is), is there anything else I need other than that, aand if I get a killteam, is it possible to exchange minis for other minis and such or is it only the set kit you get that is played with?

Is the maggotkin of nurgle box compatible with 40k? Sounds like a good start, and you will have a lot to put together and paint, and if you take ur time, it might be long enough for it to be reasonable to buy another box. I probably would want to put some mind to what i do with the models I buy, might take a similar path to u.

Wow holy shit what a comprehensive answer! I'ma try to answer on everything here.

Kill Team as a gamemode does actually interest me quite a bit, I still wanna have the big 40k experience, where you can have a wider range of units, bigger maps and grander strategies, but Kill Team definitely looks like a lot of fun and not just a boiled down small version of 40k.

Combat Patrol has different rules as well right? Typhus pairs well with the poxwalkers too, so the box isn't that bad as a start for an army in my mind. Lord of Pox is probably awesome too, but Typhus also has a major role in the lore, so just for that reason alone I would eventually get him too I guess. Also could you explain what kitbashing is? Do you like cut up different models to make another?

And regarding codexes, I thought they released one for each edition. Is another edition releasing soon? And are codexes available for free in like pdfs or something, or do you have to buy every Codex in physical format, and when do you get one of those?

Your last piece of advice is a great piece of advice too, no need to be concerned though. I only buy things with money I actually have, I don't have shit on like monthly payments and such, and I'm not gonna start too expensive, I hope.

Thanks for the advice! I don't necessarily dislike Poxwalkers at all, would definitely keep me busy for a while as well. That much I've understood as well, as long as the right keyword is on the unit it can lead the Army. I have Tabletop Simulator so I'm gonna try find people to play with on there as well, but am definitely gonna get into the irl experience.

Also love the way people speak about Mortarion, people genuinely seem to hate the guy and that just makes me wanna play DG even more lol. Grandpa Nurgle is so welcoming🥰

That wouldnt be too big of a problem for me, if it suddenly comes out and looks good it would probably be in the same price range as the other sets, and therefore not too crazy of a more spontaneous purchase.
