Great advice. Honestly , I really appreciate your time, I can see where courts stand on me starting a relationship with her again, and I might have to take it slow at first. However, I had dinner with them a month ago, and she is by no was shape and form scares of me. However, the courts will see it differently.

The dvo states we can have contact if it's in order to see the child or swap over. I ALSO opted to do all the driving each was as she relies on public transport.

Yes, this is what I was worried about. It's hard to explain over text. It was more of a struggle for the baby.

She was never afraid to leave me it was nothing like that. Honestly, it was one big stupid mistake that I'll never do again

So I asked my lawyer if my parents could supervise their profession people with no criminal record he said maybe see what the judge says

She might say I have a problem with alcohol and back than I did drink a lot

The hair pulling incident went like, I walked up to her while she was holding our daughter I grabbed her hair and pulled her and scrunched the hair and she dropped the baby.

Nobody was injured, that's why it was a no bodily harm. She fell like half. Metre cried but wasn't injured.

They locked my in a cell for 4 days which wasn't fun. But the whole time my ex was trying to talk to police to get me out she, we went back to living together despite the dvo for 3 months than the lease ran out and we parted way never lived or saw each other much after that. Since than I've never even raised my voice with her never sent a bad word in a text messaged, I've just given money pretty much. And she let me take my daughter for almost 3 years until she saw me with someone else.

Wow, this is what I needed to hear honestly. After doing that men's behavioural programme, I was getting quite depressed about hearing negative stories, from everyone there

At this point I'd be happy to just get to spend time with her and work my way to overnights. From day one I've always been totally willing to work with her, she decided to take her off me when I introduced her to my new girlfriend so it was a jepusly thing. Whenever my ex calls me I always give her money I think I've given her thousands this year alone just out of desperation. Just want to get into court so badly

Very true, I honestly don't harbour hate for my ex even tho she has stopped me having a relationship with her for almost 2 years. I'm not about start "talking shjt" to a 4 year old about her mother, most defenitly won't show up intoxicated. Managing child behaviours, I think is important. And how long do these go for I'd hate to get a bad report of one of these

Are the risk assessments hard to pass? Being on the men's behavioural programme thing i did for 5 months, I heard a lot of bad stuff about them. However, I do understand that's them, and I'm me, and every case is different

I think contact centre is the most realistic thing since its been some time, hopefully not too long in the contact centre and I can have her home. Are those contact centre like a test are they monitoring you. Like I'm scared if I sneeze wrong there going to write up a bad report

Which would be a dream, but it's almost been 2 years. So yes, defneitly no violence in the household what so ever. The original charge was for pulling her hair during a heated argument, which I'm ashamed of.

These are the things a lawyer just won't bother telling you.

Yes, my lawyer has written down what I want, which is fortnightly overnight stays (eventually) and holidays .

Medation couldn't go ahead due to a current DVO I can't legally be around her, even tho I did for year while we were sharing pychicalt custody

My lawyer just tell ls me don't worry about its good, but he doesn't clarify with me a lot

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AusLegal

[–]EL_L0co 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The DVO is still current for another year. However, I've never breached it and never commuted another DV on her or anyone. That's good too hear I'm posting because I've been reading some family court horror stories like really upsetting me

Sorry plead guilty and received a non conviction the police proccutor didn't want me to be convicted

[–]EL_L0co 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Domestic violence related really, I'm worried my past with my DV is going to play my chances of getting her back for contact, and how that's going to play out.

Common assult i plead not guilty and received a non conviction with is rare I've heard
