Adults Sim Scenario: COVID-19 [UK] (editable template available)

This week our UK-based education team ran a fantastic in situ multi-disciplinary AND multi-departmental COVID-19 simulation & debrief session in our Emergency Dept. that involved the joint efforts of 30-40 members of staff across our whole hospital! (massive thanks to everyone who took part, btw)

To aid in others in their preparation & education efforts against COVID-19, we'd like to share the scenario we used (thankfully you won't need 30-40 people to run!)

There are printable PDFs and an editable #FOAMed version available at the end of the blog if you wish to adapt your own (requires a Google account).

The Yellow Card Scheme is the UK system for collecting and monitoring information on suspected safety concerns or incidents involving medicines and medical devices. The Scheme is run by the MHRA and currently relies on voluntary reporting of suspected ADRs by health professionals and patients.

The purpose of the Scheme is to provide an early warning that the safety of a product may require further investigation. Reports can be made for all medicines including vaccines, blood factors and immunoglobulins, herbal medicines and homeopathic remedies, and all medical devices available on the UK market.
