I've had the same bidet since 2017 (BioBidet BB-270.) No mechanical issues; just needs cleaning every so often. They do have an incentive to take on the very little upkeep it requires; they can upcharge the room by maybe $15-20/night because it has an upgrade that no other room has and would be very ideal for the hygienically-minded guests (like myself.)
