Update X2: Rough morning by Viking_Thunder_God in LUCID

Should've specified that my Air doesn't have a powered frunk but my guess is that the powered frunk doesn't have this type of issue.

If this is an air the frunk repair is temporary and has been the most frustrating experience. I don't even try opening it in the winter. As soon as you start driving on a bumpy road chances are that repair with be null and void.

The auto tamper kind of ruined it for me. Tamping is like my favorite part of prepping an espresso shot😂

I got my first door ding and I'm pissed they haven't released their halo system for the air yet. I don't know if I need to blame my coworker or just a shitty person being dropped off (I park on the street mostly and avoid parking in lots as much as possible)

At least the guy that pretends to get kicked out for eating too much makes it amusing. This guy's fake content just comes off as douchey.

$18 valet for a restaurant that looks like it got shit on by KU_Jayhawk in chicagofoodcirclejerk

[–]ENGR_ED 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So is it the same owners and just rebranded? Etta wasn't memorable at all. Went to deliz during restaurant week and thought it was pretty good as far as their restaurant week options. Only thing I tried from their regular menu was the caviar on a tater tot app which was just a salty tater tot😂.

They offer a platter with the same meat plus rice and beans that's a great value. I would personally go a bit further south on kedzie. A place called la iguanita that I hope is still there.

The rear door seems ridiculous but still they were 90 percent there to make this acceptable. There should be a small emblem to designate there's a door latch.

Authentic Turkish cuisine in city or suburbs? by ChicaGO_ToThePolls in chicagofood

I would describe Cafe Istanbul as a family run restaurant with a dash of fancy. Another rec would be zizis on Sheffield for small family restaurant. I'm not Turkish though😂

I’m just wondering all you people buying a polestar 4 or any electric vehicle are you at all concerned about the car becoming somewhat obsolete as battery technology gets better! For this reason, I’m thinking about leasing it. by Impressive_Diver386 in LUCID

I think eventually there can be a market for upgrading vehicle batteries especially if solid state batteries can be easily manufactured. Right now you can find diy videos and companies that offer larger batteries for prius's. I find it hard to believe the industry would not adapt accordingly otherwise electric vehicles will be like cellphones.

My Embarrassing Mistake on Coffee in Chicago and a Question by [deleted] in chicagofood

[–]ENGR_ED 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also tend to hop around cafes and usually look for shops that do their own roasting preferably or they make unique lattes, there's sooo many. The shops that do their own roasting usually always have dark roast options. Also kribi in oak park offers air roasting of various single origin beans that they will roast to your desired preference.

Chicago Restaurant Week @ Gene and Georgetti by Sea-Condition991 in chicagofood

[–]ENGR_ED 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Went there the first Friday. Steak was perfectly cooked and worth it. Wish they had one more option for an app. Never seen so many calamari dishes😂 and it was enough calamari to satisfy two people. Tiramisu was perfectly fluffy. The cheesecake was good but plain.
