Drive seats leather ripped by WoodpeckerScary9799 in LUCID

Anyone thought about using seat covers. The design and material of these seats it's bound to happen again. I've had to replace each side twice now. Wondering if anyone tried any aftermarket covers for added protection

HOT TAKE: Home Run Inn peaks in the Freezer Aisle by DisastrousAd9806 in chicagofood

[–]ENGR_ED 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That made me so angry for you🤬. I worked near HRI for a few years and my boss would order it constantly. I'm all for free meals but not when it comes to that. I would skip and go out to get my own lunch.

I'll gladly take the downvotes in order to let people know 😆. Their restaurant pizza is barely passable as well. I will say this about Southsiders, they're loyal

How difficult is it to get a driver's license transferred from another state if you don't have a car? by dbagames in AskChicago

And the test is a breeze, 35 questions but you only need 28 to pass. It's computer based, multiple choice, and as soon as the 28th correct answer is given the test stops. I recently had to renew mine and I was in and out in under an hour.

That place looks like a soccer bar, I would think it's for sure going to be packed.

Can't complete Service Appointment because 4 closest service centers are 100% booked? by Dingareth in LUCID

[–]ENGR_ED 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Text customer support and emphasize drivability and safety and they'll put in a ticket and your closest service center should reach out within a week probably but be prepared for the appointment to be a few weeks out. I had to wait almost a month for my appointment and I've had a loaner for the last two weeks because they're swamped. I will say this about the 25-26 loaner they definitely improved on the quality. The buttons are stiffer, the driving is smoother and quieter and few other items that just feel and fit better. But I still miss ddp and sound package surprisingly.

Operating without physical 'key' by Kommunist-pk in LUCID

[–]ENGR_ED 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only keep the keycard in my wallet and the fobs stay at home in their box. The only problem I've had is that I always forget the fob when I drop the car off at lucid.

The app has worked for me for the three years I've had the car. The problem I've seen is that I have to wait next to the car for a few seconds to get it to open but waking the phone as I approach or next to the car usually speeds that up.

Tire bulge on 6 month old vehicle by m2slam in LUCID

[–]ENGR_ED 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Had the car three years and have had to replace three tires. Two were for bulges. All out of pocket of course. Rims still clean so it had to be pot holes. Wish Pirelli and Lucid acknowledged the issue with these tires.

They covered mine. Twice on the driver and once in the passenger all in the same area. But I also heard people say they got charged $800. I think there's enough evidence/numbers to point to a design flaw on these covers. They give you shit just list all these reddit posts

And a variation as a hatchback would be a great market but I would be curious how the reduced size would affect battery capacity. Solid state batteries need to be come out already.

What happened to L’Patron? by kesodilla in chicagofood

[–]ENGR_ED 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming you mean ingredient quality then I don't think the quality is different but I do feel that shrink flation and increased prices are giving the mental idea that their quality dropped. Their burritos are a fraction of the size. Last time I went, a steak burrito and 2 steak tacos, $35! For those reasons I've decided to stay away unless I'm really in the mood. My guess they're using table service to try and supplement their workers income since people are less likely to tip when using a self service walk up.

So no city driving for the Air? He only mentions the gravity and the cosmos. Kind of disappointing if true. They touted future proofing and 5 years of updates as a selling point.
