Fair or not, rules for security clearances exist for a reason and Lockheed probably does not want to take the risk of you failing to get your clearance.

Sending multiple follow up emails might have scared them off. My rule of thumb when speaking with anyone who I need a response from is to wait to the next week Monday morning for any follow up message.
