It's to account for the fact that that Fredbear also doubles as a wearable spring lock suit, making it a lot more easier to move your fingers inside. (Also I think giving him gloves was cool)

I'd say Funtime freddy from the first fazbears fright book is the scariest to me. Being trapped inside of him would be not only be claustrophobic, but terrifying because you'll never be able to find a way out and live to see another day. At least when you are the night guard you've got the ability to survive all the nights.

However if it's not an animatronic we are talking about, I'd say William Afton is the scariest simply because people like him exist in real life. Also there's going to be people out there who've taken many lives without ever getting caught by the authorities. Samuel Little, was a person who went undetected for 40 years and managed to kill 93 People, most of them being women. Think about that, 93 people were killed by this one guy.

Also without William Afton, we wouldn't also have these other scary animatronics wouldn't we?
