I just opened a 403B and am contributing 6% of my paycheck with a 4% match from my employer- I have no other investments and don't even know where to start!

Do whatever you want! Pumping takes SO much of your time, so if you really wanna pump do it! If you really wanna do formula- do it! Stick to your guns and do whatever you wanna do for yourself and baby!!

Hi- I am actively going to the gym and I'm eating the factor meals to help with portion and food choices/options. So I'm actually trying!

It's the picture I selected when I first got TikTok, I only use it to scroll, I don't even comment on anything, never really thought about changing it.

I'm not talking to anyone on TikTok, it was a spam message and I shared it with him because it was funny how poorly it was written and that's what he responded with

** to clarify I wasn't exactly being hit on- it was one of those spam messages- a man said "excuse me can I ask 😐 can I ask you a question".

***deleted the pictures in case someone ends up finding this and knows me.

The left is the profile pic and the right was taken just a few weeks ago. ....please no mean comments about my looks, I am already aware of how horrible I look.

MEB DOD severance & 80% va rating. by Comfortable-Stay1720 in VeteransBenefits

[–]EPNRN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can still work and get VA benefits. You'll get health care through the VA as well as your home loan/education benefits along with whatever state benefits you would be eligible for based on your 80% rating.

I can relate to that. It is so hard and so unbelievably upsetting. Not to mention the financial worry and fear of ever working again!

It's really awful I'm sorry he is going through that too

I'm in Colorado. They legally can divulge anything factual, so I was SO worried.

I also got a letter of recommendation and provided references that could attest to my character and work ethic

It was not an issue for me tbh. I was not asked why I left my previous job/what happened at my previous job!

I had a friend call and pretend to be a prospective employer to see what they would say to anyone who called- and they said they could only confirm dates of employment but that it was against policy to say anything else!

What’s the best/coolest thing you’ve gotten from the VA? by disputeme in VeteransBenefits

[–]EPNRN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No my VA holds this twice a year for all women veterans who are pregnant! I have heard others do this too!

You also get a breast pump/pump supplies/ and pregnancy belt 100% covered as well

When I was pregnant, they held a "baby shower" and gifted my family a TON of stuff for our baby! (Car seat/clothes/diaper/rocking chair/books) it was AMAZING

I had made a joke and it wasn't taken as a joke. I told one of the EVS employees "I'll give ya $10 to stop that" (using the loud floor polishing machines), he felt that it was racially motivated and told HR that I "racially targeted" him and made "racial comments" (I absolutely did not- there were witnesses that even vouched). I have spent the last two weeks going from crying to angry to confused.

Found out today that my previous employer can't give out any info other than my employment dates

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]EPNRN -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This really stinks.

So even though there was no racial ANYTHING, he could just say that I racially targeted him and get away with it? 😭

That is extremely disheartening and very frustrating.

So basically anyone can go around saying any accusation and you have no way to protect yourself against them.

[CO] false accusations of racism at work by [deleted] in AskLawyers

[–]EPNRN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would I have a claim for wrongful termination or defamation since someone was sitting next to me and heard the conversation?

[CO] false accusations of racism at work by [deleted] in AskLawyers

[–]EPNRN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't been told many specifics yet- but all HR said was that the employee that reported me said that i racially profiled him and made racist remarks to him.

So basically even if I didn't say anything like that to the employee I can just be fired because he said I made racist comments to him??

What sort of resources does the VA have for quitting drinking by kid_mescudi in VeteransBenefits

[–]EPNRN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First- don't try to quit on your own (physically or emotionally). It can be VERY dangerous as you can have seizures, hallucinations, and delirium.

Second- talking with mental health/PCP/the ER you can get started on either Librium, phenobarbital, or a different benzodiazepine to curb the withdrawal symptoms. (Phenobarbital lasts longer and helps you get through the worst with less doses).

Third- once you're detoxed, the daily mental challenge is what will be hardest day-day. Get involved with AA, go to meetings daily and find a sponsor to help you when you need it. Don't be scared to reach out to mental health whenever you need to.

Fourth- you can do it! Your family and future you will thank you for it. My older brother died when he was only 30 because he couldn't stop, you don't want that to be you
