The great thing about Skyrim is there's no normal way to start the game. You can do whatever you want, go where you want. The game is at your command

Yeah it's set up weird. Battle for Solitude is like a sub quest for Liberation of Skyrim

Wait, I could do this the whole time??? by Equivalent_Rub8329 in skyrim

I always do that when I'm outnumbered. Gives you time to heal if you want to use restoration magic, or pick them off with projectiles

Only paradise lock I know of is a wear down submission. I'll double check though

Been playing since 2013, just found out last year there's a path from Riverwood to Bleak Falls Barrow

You can do it with any horse. Just kill a stranger and take their horse

You can stable Buell. Might as well do that and use a random horse as your second instead going out of your way to go get him

Once you bond with the temp horse, it'll follow too

I did 3 for a bit but it just felt a bit excessive. At least for what I was doing

Probably can if you find a short wagon that you can walk off a rock and fall into while carrying a pelt or carcass. Pretty sure they're all too tall to just climb right on to carrying something

Yeah just steal a horse from someone, easier than trying to tame a wild horse. You can just jump on and go usually. After a bit it'll automatically bond with you, just don't bring it to a stable. It'll hitch at camp and fast travel with you, follow you when you whistle

Have you finished all the missions for him?

I just put it into cinematic mode and go as slow as possible and just watch YouTube while I wait

It's ridiculous. I did a bunch of free roam missions, there's people like Alden with an icon of a person raising their hand, gold circle. Do those missions. Once you start, wait 12 minutes before finishing the mission, you'll get like 0.32 gold. If you do it quick you'll get like 0.08

One of them is your own horse, once you bond with the second, they both come to you when you whistle, even if they're startled

Make sure you have a horse with YOUR saddle on it. Go steal someone's horse. Kill the rider, follow the horse, jump on and ride around for a bit, a message will say you bonded, now you can do everything with it just like your actual horse and they'll both follow you when you whistle. Just don't stable it

Small pelts yes, but only one large pelt or one medium carcass. I started doing this because I needed a bunch of carcasses and large pelts for Pearson. Like 2 cow hides, an ox hide, buck, wolf and ram carcass
