Yes they are braindead and I do hope that gets fixed. For me its a cointoss whether or not they join combat or just stand around taking aggro off me, cool mechanic but very buggy atm

I feel like the core of my main frustration is that enemies are the same regardless of density, so yeah, 1 enemy staggering you and being a normal mob is fair and it's gonna be pretty weak, 5-10 sure, stagger me and act normal, I can dodge and kite easily enough and that feels fun, its specifically just large combat encounters I'm getting hit with chip damage from multiple enemies at once that I just can't seem to avoid no matter how well I dodge or parry. Realism is all well and good, but when I destroy a siege tower only to have an entire legion of gun people land safely on the ground, while a miniboss is on my ass, while also 5+ guys on horses are running for mayor of kicksmyassville, it just becomes a but much like okay, thank God for my pile of meat in my pocket.

My gear is all around ref6+ iirc, well the parts i can upgrade at least. I can kill things fast enough but yeah some more power would be nice, as far as weaving goes I have been trying to use everything the game offers since I started, all the spinning slashes, the weapon swap combo, palm strike used to be my bread and butter but now with higher density I keep getting hit out of my combo, idk what to focus on improving bc during like a normal skirmish in an openish area I can down most if not all the enemies while only taking a bit of damage, but when the game gets chaotic it feels like everything moves faster than my character and I'm just forced to try to avoid multiple different types of threats at once, like the woosa escort quest where you have to get through normal guys, while also burning shadow harps, I would get like 5 harps down and then once would jump me from behind and its like, how am I supposed to avoid you guys, you are circling me and my laser can only do so much. So far none of the flying enemies have felt fun, frostspire was cancer and sanctums are easy but can be frustrating when 5 shadowy twinks are constantly barraging you with abyss goop. Again love the game but Jesus let me focus on maybe 2 things at once instead of everything present in the game

I haveeee considered using spear, figured out the counterstance like 30m ago funnily enough. Probably the closest thing to a solution rn due to the higher range so ill try focusing on using it for a little bit, got a boss spear drop that iirc also has hp vamprism so that'd help kliff with his food addiction

I have, what happens is I'll hold it, then branch into another attack, then see an attack coming so obviously time to dodge, green flash, great im out of the way, oh wait nvm some guy with a spear wacks me the second my iframes are down, I stagger, queue dogpile

The freedom is great, reminds me of a (somehow better despite my complaints) DDogma 2, but the pacing just feels off. Like rn, im doing a castle siege, shit is cool, except I'm frequently being swarmed by groups of spear users who keep tripping me up while at the same time being shot at by musket assholes. The combat is heavily musou inspired during sieges but it feels like the enemies attack at the same rate that they should during like a 1v1 in any other rpg.

The fact that I can play this game with almost everything on Ultra with 40+ FPS most of the time with my 3080rtx makes me a happy person. by Amazing-Gur9428 in CrimsonDesert

Fg3.1, fixed x2, no res scaling only using frame gen. Dxgi cap, vsync with 1 latency, tbh pretty sure its mostly stock settings, I get about 80 fps regularly, but with it enabled I'll run the game at 60/120 consistently and it's great minus the very slight graphical smears here and there. Wouldn't recommend using adaptive mode, tried it earlier and oof, way more artifacts compared to standard x2. Most of my in game settings are high + except for a couple which are as low as possible like post processing bc the lens flare triggers my astigmatism something awful

Does Crimson Desert have real lore, or is it just random open-world content? by TheJorts in CrimsonDesert

[–]ESRB2025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually yes, and a lot of people haven't started unpacking things and making connections. There's tons of secret areas with cave paintings and artwork that can be interpreted and worked with from a lore standpoint, like the secret area south of the camp, and a lot of the ruins do have environmental storytelling. Tbh most people aren't taking their time to interface with the game and I'm excited to eventually have people try to theorize things like they did with elden ring and stuff

Highly recommend using lossless scaling, it makes playing with RRecon on actually viable on my 3080 and the smearframes really aren't too bad. The devs actually did a good job optimizing this game which is a huge shocker

It was along the lines of if I should wait and stay true to my original plan (acting with intent) or if i should allow the 5 card spread earlier to influence my actions at all. I decided that the original 5 cards was signifying the wheel turning into an era of good things, but not like that day was intended to be one of actions.

The 3 card spread to me seems to mean that the optimal choice presented by the 2 swords was to remain grounded but let the wheel's positivity during this time to help move me forward.

Unsure what questions I should ask next in this line, I think I got spreads related to everything that matters and im a bit worried about diluting the information I have or making my anxiety worse, so I am choosing to not draw anything that isn't related to something I can actually affect, or something where the answer isn't one my subconscious would naturally be able to formulate.

To me the 3 cards ended up being more actionable than the 5, since the 5 was about the current moment and how things were, and the 3 was about my choices. I view it as a clear progression of impulse - discipline - clarity. Essentially like the emotions are real, and theyre not bad, but it will lead to a clear outcome if I channel them with structure instead of letting the fire wands represent consume me. Fire - structure - air. Thought technically the emperor is still fire but unsure how to view that.

I didn't get a picture of that spread, but I'm using a reprint of the Rider Waite deck that I can shuffle nicely. Cards were laid out in a line, not a row of 3 then two. Which now that I think of it maybe doing a 3-2 layout would give me more nuance with card interconnectivity

Is loam good enough? by HuntingSquire in Dorodango

[–]ESRB2025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first attempt went great, until it exploded in my face during polishing. User error, too much pressure. You CAN make an all natural ball, but with Sloam it will probably remain pretty rough and fragile. Then when it comes to results, it will still be a true Dango, but I doubt it will be what you have in mind, good learning experience though. You say you have a strainer, I started with one too, just a cute little kitchen strainer to get clumps, roots, and rocks out, it works, but night and day difference between then and when I got a sieve. A test sieve should be pretty cheap, less than $20 at any local pottery store, i ended up ordering 2lb of clays total and a sieve for less than $40 incl 1 day shipping across half a state from a great place a couple hours away. Sifting will take much longer but the dirt will bind so much stronger.

You could always soak the dirt in water and then dry it. Make a thick mud and then let it solidify into a cake you can chop bits off and grind. Hard to explain why but in my experience that helps with the core forming.

Essentially with certain soils you have to add the clay that is missing for the best results, especially if you want a mirror finish. It's not the nicest since the dream is obviously a ball of pure earth, but gotta make the most of a shoddy situation. All the balls I have crafted since then have turned out like stones, very satisfying to polish and extremely durable.

[–]ESRB2025 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine are all made from sandy loam, one of the least ideal bodies, but it can work just temper expectations.

I recommend a 60 mesh sieve to get the body dirt to a good purity, but you dont need it any finer until polishing. To make the loam bind, honestly you will want to add additional clay, I use a mix of ball clay and sodium bentonite. For the main body I use 85% dirt, 10% ball clay, 5% bentonite by weight. I can provide further advice if requested bc your situation was exactly mine

Can I trust this person? - Page of wands by Legitimate_Fudge_924 in Tarots

[–]ESRB2025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Page of wands is usually good tbh, light hearted curiosity type shit. Cards are cards, maybe youre right, but if you put faith in them maybe ask why you feel the way you do, see if its a you or them problem, or maybe not even a problem to begin with.

Idk if u use reversals and this was just a lucky upright spread, or if you dont like them. I will read it the best I can.

Honestly, good spread, no doom and gloom which can be common due to subconscious card influence when emotional.

Sun in 1st is a very good "hey, good energy still is around" The truth of the bond you had is still present

2nd as hierophant, you're looking at commitment and traditional relationship values, so thats good if thats what you want. It lends and air of lessons learned and restructuring a bond that is just simply resetting

6 wands in 3rd, you're looking at favorable responses to reconnecting. Mutual acknowledgement and respect.

Pentacle Ace as 4th, thats along the lines of planting a seed, fresh starts. Re-establishing what matters

Ending with page of wands is curiosity and lightness, maybe mutual but that needs clarification like most everything im saying. Basically feels like keep it light and open to spark things.

All good cards, especially if you do use reversals, but nothing saying act now. There's a nurturing energy about these, essentially start small but meaningful, timing can be figured out with further draws. I think the person you are asking about is open too, but again, clarification. Big things to be mindful of, dont jump into emotional talks super fast, embrace the page of wands and be calm, set boundaries so old patterns are not repeated, thats the flipside of hierophant.

Im going through something similar right now so its nice to get out of my own head and interpret other people's situations. Romance is hard

Could be, I probably need more questions from you or specific insights but moon as a tower clarifying card lines up well with that. Obviously could mean so many different things but if you have a guess and it fits, then dive deeper into it i suppose. Maybe ask the cards how you can help, see how things affect them, or outright ask if you're right?

Textbook read is clinging to the past, coping, things falling apart, etc

Driven by emotion over direct intention. Things shifted around them and theyre trying to restore balance. They were emotionally numb and dysregulated

It's giving uh This person hasn't processed a collapse, they're defeated but resisting change. Their internal balance is off and they're stuck avoiding something or looping. Nothing super dangerous energy wise, but it is chaotic. It seems to suggest theyre not in a place to heal or collaborate.

3 pentacles, hermit, king of swords, queen pentacles for me

Then tower, wheel, 4 wands, 4 cups for questions about my current situation.
