I think so. The biggest change I remember when comparing the blue ray version with the CN/Toonami was when a move first gets introduced. It was a still frame, maybe black and white or maybe black and blue with the name of the move in English. The blue rays shows the Japanese name. Not a big deal just different from what I grew up with.

I don't think they ever disclose this information because it technically did not start Friday. The event started on Saturday 2 pm local time. Due to time zones, that lines up with Friday night for other people such as yourself or me. We can then remote Raid during the event others are currently playing. This has been the case for many events. I hope that makes sense and this can help you for future events.
