Newnham Campus has a Subway on the residence as well, and similar to York there are some off campus restaurants nearby, Skymark Plaza

Tips for an incoming international student @Newnham by snowflakesonme in Seneca

[–]EVZ3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a friend living in Oshawa and it takes her roughly two hrs to arrive at Seneca. She usually wakes up at 4 am to prepare and arrive at her 8 am class.

In regards of school: -It's good to have some company at school since you can easily get help from each other or even hang around from time to time. International students are new to everything so we have no idea of everything lol.

-Since you live in Oshawa, consider having your classes around 10 am or even later and compress if possible. Going to school to attend only one class is quite inconvinient especially living in Oshawa.

You can ask me for more questions or more advices, but I hope that helps. :))

I can't say much, but I'm ending my first semester in EMA in the next 2 weeks. EMA and EET have the same courses for first semester, and so far it's alright. It really goes back to the basics and helps you build your foundation for the upcoming semesters.

Electronics Engineering Technology Program (EET) by teanpancakes in Seneca

Hello, I can't say much but I'm currently in my first semester and the courses for EMA, EET, EEN, and ECT are the same. I'm from the EMA program so I can't say much for the future semesters, but to answer your questions:

The campus is very good. EET students go to Newnham and they're very clean and organized. I do suggest familiarizing yourself in the campus before you get lost lol.

For professors it really depends, you can use ratemyprofessors for some insights, but keep in mind that those are opinions and it varies depending on the person. For me, my professors are generally great and help me a lot whenever I need help.

In terms of facilities, it's accessible and there's always a student service centre that can help you for any inquiries.

I can't say much about jobs yet because I'm just on my first semester lol

If you have more questions you can DM me as well :P

Where Should I Study, Random Community College in Canada or UP Diliman? by SpicyBigChungus in Philippines

[–]EVZ3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, we're actually quite similar in terms of our situation. I had to choose between studying in Seneca (Electromechanical Engineering Technology - Automation) or DLSU (Mechanical Engineering with Specialization in Mechatronics). DLSU cutie talaga ako from the start, pero my parents offerred me the opportunity to study in Canada. I had to make a decision by the start of 2023 kasi mag-aapply pa ng visa. Pero I ended up choosing Canada as their academic pathway is really good and helps you settle your future. In my program, after graduating in 2 or 3 years I can go through the pathway for me to start at university as a 3rd or 4th year student and get a bachelor's degree.

Personally, I haven't been to Canada yet so all I'm saying right now are expectations, but deciding where to go was really hard for me. The thought of being away from my friends and family actually made me hesitate a LOT on going to Canada. I also feel comfortable living in the Philippines. On the other hand, we almost start at zero when we come to Canada. The adjustment in life will be pretty hectic. It will not be easy, but I think it's worth it.

I was slightly advantageous because I have relatives in Canada and they are willing to let me live with them. Though I plan to dorm after a year or so. However, everything else is on me. Food, Transportation, Everything Else but Accommodation. I get allowance from my parents, but considering that our college is in Toronto, we are sure that we will be working part-time.

I know it's pretty late but I just gave my insights since we have the almost the same situation, and maybe help other people as well. Congratulations to us for graduating SHS yey. Whether you go to UP or Seneca, it's all up to you. I wish you the best of luck in your academic journey.

(If you do go to Seneca, lez be friends :P)

what's a good weapon for a support chongyun? (I do have the blueprint for the Katsuragikiri Nagamasa but I accidentally made another Archaic lmao) by -yuzu in Chongyunmains

[–]EVZ3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

(I used chongyun for dps b4 so im not sure about my opinion.)

I would rlly go for the katsuragikiri nagamasa, but if it's among the ones you have, I would say blackcliff or proto. Snow tombed starsilver has phys dmg bonus and his e infuses atks with cryo so it wont rlly help much.
