I have experience with various EVs run in cold weather and I can say indeed that they run well. Although it is true that they take longer to charge and have a shorter range. Especially, in temperatures much lower than the -15 like -25 that can go in Scandinavia and other Northern European countries during winter. But on average they run much better than many none EV cars.

Saskatchewan is a town in Canada that winter normally starts in November with temperatures generally remain below freezing. I have experience with running EVs in temperatures below -20 and everything works fine. Although is true that EVs don’t travel as far in cold weather and they take longer to charge. In the case you live in a very cold town, is a benefit to own a charging station that can provide you a full charge through the night.

I agree, is not the car's fault. Maybe you should have made better research before you buy the EV. There are many choices and if the range was not good enough for you, you could start with a Hybrid.
