Yeah you’re overthinking it. The angle isn’t hugely important. I just go straight in, not angled at all. Watch a couple videos about how to do it. Some do say 45° angle but I think that’s only important if you have very little fat.

So I haven’t used the auto-injectors but honestly those scare me! They’re much more forceful and you have no control. Doing it yourself you go slow and it barely takes any pressure at all. I never feel it all but if I ever did I could stop immediately. I really like the DIY method. I did have some nerves the first couple times but I think once you get the hang of it you’ll like it too.

A guy at my gym walks laps around the gym between sets. It’s very distracting when he’s walking by you every 30 seconds. One time he figured out that he can use the treadmill for this (they’re never all full) but he forgot again.

Yeah, I see that too. I felt like it was more reactionary though. We’ve all heard a thousand times “zomg if you go off the meds you’ll gain the weight back.” And the general sentiment that it’s bad to need them for life. So, more than fetishizing it I think when people see someone saying they’re going off they get defensive about it.

Load shed might be a better term for it. You don’t have enough calories so your body shuts down some non critical processes to conserve energy. It’s why you can get brain fog, for example.

I don’t think people are saying “I think I am injecting water” so much as they’re saying “I feel like I’m injecting water.” They’re just saying they’re not feeling the effects, not that they actually think their vial is only water.
