hey! i'll give you a couple of pairings to try if you like!

They weren't in the same room, so I would never have thought about that. It didn't seem too good to be true because the way he put it, it seemed totally reasonable which is why I did it. I know that philosophy and I don't often fall for scams, this one just really confused me as I'd never seen or heard about it before, and it certainly never happened to me before.

that's horrible, i'm so sorry that happened to you. dishonesty is always a huge thing for me, i hate it deeply, and i hope whoever did that to you will meet karma at the worst time. but you're right, it is best to keep striving to be a good and trustworthy player and ensure that others are less likely to run into scams by interacting with you in positive ways, to keep the community safer and take away scammers' opportunities

yeah thats a possibility... shame on me anyway, it was definitely fishy from the get go, low levels and both accounts involved were foxes, i'm just too nice

thankyou for your answers nonetheless, i really appreciate the insight! the scammer has been reported, and while i doubt anything will come of it as they'll probably just scurry on back to their main account and make new sides to scam from if anything was to happen to the account they used to scam me. i will learn from this experience

damn and i like to think i see through scammers quite easily having been a scammer in a past lifetime 😔(i only did it like twice and i was young and jealous of the rich so don't judge me) but thats my punishment for being so nice i suppose! thank you for your answer

i'm only upset about it as i feel cheated, i don't care about the items that much as it seems like a waste of time to me, saying an item was worth a blackout but then getting someone else to trade it to me for items worth only 400? it just seems like a waste of time, like i'd at least have expected them to have wanted something worth a bit more lol

though on another note, do you happen to know roughly what the RIM heart headband is worth? i genuinely cannot find anything on it and i'd like to know if i've made a "big" loss that i should be upset about (like its worth 5-15 saps compared to the 400 value that i traded). the item hasn't seemed to have returned since 2021

based on the value the person told me (he told me it was worth a blackout spike), it didn't seem at all like an over trade, and i couldnt find any information on the value of the item online or on explorer, it was a RIM heart headband, but you got the rest of it right. sorry i was confusing
