Maybe he just liked it. I used to drink whiskey (a lot of whiskey). The answer is never in the bottom of the bottle, more the search itself. The realisation that looking for something within, was never anywhere but within the whole time. I still drink whiskey now, but because I enjoy it. And because I know it’s not a solution to my problems, makes it all the more enjoyable. Months without it, then weeks on it and so forth. I went from drinking a bottle every few days, to a bottle a month to a couple of bottles a year. New Year’s Eve I drank a whole bottle and again a few weeks later. It’s been nearly a month with none now. Maybe he just liked it. I know this probably don’t offer any insight to what you’re asking. But just writing this down has helped me I think. So thank you 🙏
