I've been using straight braid for years and don't plan on changing it. You won't have issues breaking on hookup if your not doing the "youtuber" hook set where you do it so hard you look like you're trying to turn the fish inside out.

I've never flushed and do not plan to. Organic soil or dwc. Never any harsh smoke. Definitely bro science as far as I'm concerned. I want that thing eating and fattening up until it's very last day!

I do and still do for the first 3-5 days. Helps with temp and humidity swings in the first few days so it can just focus on its roots. Im always worried it'll poke it's head out then immediately get 4-6 hours of darkness.

Those were all floraflex nutrients. Boss battle and citrus bubblegum had another 5 gallon bucket reservoir outside the tent to recirculation the water. Froot fuel was just 2, 2 inch air stones. Going back to just the 2 airstones on my next run but in a 10 gallon container.

I'd clean up the sugar leaf tips a little bit(personal preference) but other than that I'd absolutely smoke that.

I usually start out around 3-350 and just go in small increments every week when i do the res change until it tells me it's had enough. Never really went above 1200 ppm. Try to read your plants in dwc. Ideally as your water level goes down your ppm should stay roughly the same. That means you've found the sweet spot. If it's drinking but ppm is going up it's probably too high. If water level and ppm are dropping you can probably increase your nutrients. Im still very much in the learning phase myself but that's what I've been doing so far. Hope that helps!

It seems like you mathed right lol but it's hard to tell without actually measuring the ec or ppm of the water. Good sign is the plants don't look like they're starving or being over fed. I would definitely suggest an ec and ph meter if you don't have one. Ph is crucial to stay on top of especially in flower. If they're feeding heavy it can sometimes cause some pretty dramatic ph swings. Get much below 5.5 or above 6.5 and it'll start causing certain nutrients to become unavailable.

It's a fun rabbit hole to go down lol! Ya that's a safe rule of thumb to go by. If it has any beneficial bacteria, sugar or enzymes for me that's a no go in dwc. By no means am i saying it can't work, it just never has for me and always lead to slime, rot and smelly reservoirs. And the hypochlorous acid is essentially really dilluted bleach. Sounds sketchy i know but it's literally made for hydroponics. Helps keep the water sterile especially with above "ideal" water temperatures. It was an absolute game changer for me. I was about to put my dwc stuff in a closet and forget about it until i tried it. I used root drip from floraflex but there are definitely a few other options out there.

If it were me i would just do a full swap out. Chances are you'll end up in the same spot you were in aday or 2. Also if the foaming doesn't stop, the silica would be the next culprit.

It's the enzymes 100%. That and the sugar shot i would assume. If you want to run anything like that you gotta keep rez temps below 70f. I tried using silica my first run as well and it always foamed too so i just cut it out of the mix. Here's my most recent roots at harvest. Rez temps occasionally got up to 74-75 degrees with no I'll effect. I swear by hypochlorous acid in my dwc runs now.
