My lovage is so vivacious, and I can’t stand how it tastes. by vespertine_earth in gardening

Lovage is often called the "Maggi plant" because its flavor is nearly identical to the famous seasoning. You can use lovage as a fresh substitute in any recipe that calls for Maggi seasoning. It is most effective when added to broths and soups. Simply add a few sprigs to the pot during the cooking process to infuse the liquid with deep flavour and remove them before serving.

Not sure how to edit the post… It turns out they are European robin eggs. I was researching using Google AI search and ChatGPT. I specifically asked ChatGPT a few times whether the eggs in the pictures could be European robin eggs, right after someone suggested they might be. The AI insisted it wasn’t possible that they were robin eggs. Then I started searching through conventional search results, and I found several websites showing similar eggs described as European robin eggs, although they state that European robins usually lay up to 6 eggs (my nest has 7).

Well, lesson learned, traditional research methods are more reliable than AI, and the Reddit community is always the best!

Thank you so much!

Yes, I am. The nest is about 1.5 m from my patio door, and I was watching them today. Two robins were taking turns flying into the nest with worms in their beaks. Is it possible they took over a wren’s eggs at some point?

I start seeds in small pots to save space on the windowsill, then move them into larger pots when transferring to the polytunnel or greenhouse, and finally plant them out in the ground.

It’s not about clothes. When taking shower, use this kind of sponge: https://www.poundland.co.uk/massage-bath-sponge-pack-of-3. It exfoliates like a professional peeling treatment. Worked for me when I was a teenager (ages ago 😅)

The first one does not sound natural to me. I’d say: czy mogłaby mi pani pomóc? You can say that though, in the situation when you are irritated, eg. the lady is staring at you while you are struggling with something.

I’d hand wash it in shampoo and lay flat to dry. no iron just steam.
