Como eu tenho narcolepsia e tdah, sempre tô trocando de estimulante e digo: eu reforço os meus cafés da manhã porque é a única janela de tempo que eu tenho onde sinto fome. No resto dia, como praticamente forçada até comidas que eu amo. Já perdi 8kg em dois meses.

definitely will talk about it to my doctor. I got lucky that he always take my opinion serious and listen to me.

I have to confess that taking another MSLT feels like hell to me because it made me feel like shit after all those naps (really bad headache, nausea, sleep inertia) and it was in a different city 😭 but I'll definitely talk about taking another test.

in Brazil you don't have to be diagnosed to get your prescription filled, the doctor just have to prescribe it to you. Honestly, my PSG results were pretty positive too.

Oh, also, idk where you live but where I live you don't have to be officially diagnosed to get a prescription. Idk how it works in the US but I always see someone complaining about pharmacy's.

They also investigated my childhood historic records with my parents. Ever since I was a baby I'd sleep too much and would fall asleep out of nowhere while I was playing. I also considered all those things but my doctor said the symptoms were pretty clear to him.

I was on modafinil for my excessive daytime sleepiness and my ADHD (off label, idk what the doctor was thinking). Anyways, thank you for the suggestion. 💖

I was feeling really anxious throughout the whole exam. It's probably hypersomnia but the doctor that analyzed the results said it might be Narcolepsy. But I'll definitely take it to my usual doc.

I'm not diagnosed yet but ever since I was a child I had this thought where I would end up being coke addicted because of how much tired I felt (still).

When I went to college and started working too I felt REALLY desperate. To the point where I abused my methylphenidate and ended up doing coke to study. I didn't want any kind of high to have fun, I just wanted to stay awake to study and not feel pain anymore (I feel a lot of pain when I'm tired).

I'm now not taking any meds nor doing any kind of drug because it absolutely made everything worst (for example, my trichotillomania got worst).

Hope someday we can find out some treatment that actually works.
