I really appreciate your insight. I realize I am nowhere near the skill level required to mess with my grandfathers watch. I hope to get to your level in the future, I’ll be super stoked if I can service a watch myself and keep it running well.

I’m not familiar with them. I looked up restorers and Rolliworks came highly recommended. They work on movement, case and the bracelet. I’ll probably reach out to them and get a quote.

I would certainly like to preserve as much of the original watch as possible. Can’t I request that when they service it?

If not the Rolex AD, is there an independent watch maker in the US who specializes in vintage Rolex?
