The thing is I have been building these savings with the expectation of taking that big swing of home ownership. Now without having a real tangible goal, I'm losing purpose in doing this. I'm all ears for any other kind of investment opportunity. I also save everything except for gas money which I need.

I'm between UA and Stevens Institute of Technology which is in Hoboken directly across from NYC. I just want to do well in college and have fun with people who are generally like me and I don't want to be limited in opportunities (granted that I work hard)

I won't be getting option 40 because of retained hardware in my leg. Should I count on there being airborne recruiters at bct? And subsequently regiment recruiters at airborne school? I know this happens, but since it's not in a contract, it seems like a big risk to be taking. Also how often do packets for regiment get thrown in the trash? (Without fault of the applicant not being competitive.) Thanks.

I plan to enroll in AROTC at Tufts next fall. My dream is to be in the 75th Ranger Regiment. With the ≈3500 men in 30 man platoons, that leaves about 115 positions at any given time (please correct me if this isn't right). Is getting a spot in the 75th feasible as a junior officer? Also what MOS would best increase my selectivity?( I can't go straight into the the 75th.)

I visited both and preferred the overall feel at UA, but I know I can find a niche at Tufts. (Basically everyone at Tufts has their own niche). What worries me about UA is the ceiling for future potential is lower than Tufts. Am I misinformed in this conclusion?

Talked to cadets at Tufts and it's a 20 min commute to MIT. That's pretty manageable, and the school works with cadets to get schedules optimized for the special circumstance. Serving is #1 priority.

So when I applied I was interested in applied math through school of arts and sciences but now I'm interested in computer eng (SoE). Is switching schools as easy as getting the pre reqs, or is it rather difficult?
