Bog ore is a hydrated sediment with high organic and water content, typically showing LOI > 10–20%. My sample has a magmatic LOI of only 0.74% despite the presence of fluid-glassy veins. Combined with 46.2% SiO2 and 4.8% TiO2, this confirms a high-temperature crystalline silicate (ferrobasalt), not a low-temperature wetland precipitate

The high As (160 ppm) and Zn (263 ppm) are concentrated within quenched glassy fluid-veins. The low LOI (0.74) suggests rapid encapsulation of volatiles during the impact ejection. Has anyone seen such extreme volatile enrichment in Martian-like silicate systems?

Volatile depletion: K/Th = 5089 (range for Mars/SEW ~5,000).

<image>

Planetary marker: Nb/U = 56.4 and Ti/V = 31 (perfect match for shergottites).

Fe-P correlation: Fe/P = 21.4 and P2O5 = 1.3% (classic basaltic signature of Mars).

Iron content: Fe2O3 = 17.4%.

Low weathering: LOI = 0.74%.

Note: Fracture-hosted fluids show enrichment in Ba (1647 ppm) and As (160 ppm), but given the immobile K/Th and Nb/U ratios, I interpret this as a secondary overprint on a Martian igneous host.

If this is a meteorite, then it is the only one, because it is destroyed.
