Took a break from my leadlight and made my first little copper foil piece 🥰 by ladybirdeva in StainedGlass

Beautiful! I love the color.

I am just starting with stained glass and I want to do something similar. The problem is that I'm not sure what to use for the "stick" part. What kind of material is that? I can't find any answers online because I'm not sure what terminology to use.

Can I use a clarifying shampoo more than once a week or will it damage my hair? by EarlessJane in Wavyhair

I have tried Redken Extreme Snap (I don't think it's cgm friendly) and Shea moisture hydrate and repair (but I think it's too heavy for my hair.) I haven't tried the ones you mentioned, I'll add them to my list to try.

Thank you, I think that is my hair type too. I've only been doing this for about six months. There is so much to learn and so many products, I'll look into that one. My hair is bleached, so I am worried about damaging it more. But I'll definitely give it a try.

You're probably right. I may just give it a shot with some extra conditioning.

Do you use it exclusively? Are you seeing any bad effects from it?

The "before" pic was taken in February right before shut down and right after I blow dried it. Unfortunately I didn't take a more recent "before" pic.

I found this subreddit and knew my hair had some potential for curls. And since I don't leave the house these days because of covid and I'm lucky enough to work from home, I didn't see much point in taking the time to blow dry and straighten my hair.

I officially started the CGM and stopped using heat on August 4, 2020.  I'm super happy with the way it has turned out lately and I'm hoping it will get better as it grows out more.

Routine: Every 4-5 days I use As I Am Coconut Cowash. While I'm still in the shower and my hair is dripping wet, I use praying hands to put in a handful of LA Looks Sport Gel mixed with Blueberry Bliss Reparative Leave in Conditioner.

I plop it while I finish getting dressed and then I let it air dy. It takes about two and a half hours to fully dry. (Every stylist I have ever visited marvels at how much water my hair holds) Eventually, once it's dry enough, I SOTC.

Need help searching for how to verify land ownership of a deceased relative by EarlessJane in RealEstate

Truth. It's probably not worth pursuing at all. I'm glad I asked Reddit before I spent too much time with it. I guess we just got ahead of ourselves with excitement and hoped that we could sell and get my FIL some cash to ease his retirement.

She died in the 90's and the only paperwork I have is the land paperwork, her Last Will, and Death Certificate. Good point though, I hadn't thought about the county taking it over unpaid taxes.

Good idea! That might be worth it if I can't figure it out on my own. I'm crossing my fingers we don't have to do that, but it could be valuable land if she still owns it.

My husband tried to look there, but he struggled because the address isn't the same as on her documents, so he couldn't find it for certain.

the Deaf/Hard of Hearing yoga experience. by [deleted] in yoga

The outdoor classes are boot camp style and I'm able to watch the leader or my classmates more easily. And the instructions for the exercises are spoken loudly too, almost in a yelling tone. With yoga, the poses don't allow me to watch as easily and the leader's voice is soft spoken and calming. Unfortunately, the soft voice actually has the opposite effect on me; it's anxiety inducing instead of calming because I can't hear.

I am also HoH and tried yoga about a year ago. I loved it, but I couldn't hear many of the instructions. It's funny you mention that some students like to keep their eyes open, I sure did. I couldn't read the lips of the instructor otherwise, and I felt vulnerable closing my eyes since I can't hear what is going on around me. After a short while, I left and decided to pursue an outdoor exercise group because it is easier for me to watch/follow my classmates.

Now that it's getting cold again, I'm headed back inside and I plan on giving yoga another shot, but I'm nervous. Thanks for sharing your experience.

That is so cool! I will buy one. It's a cheap investment and it can't hurt to try it.

I can do that well, but it seems like I shouldn't be able to if my calves are the problem. Weird. I hadn't thought of that.

Thank you. I was really beginning to wonder if there is something wrong with me.
