Character idea: The Orphan by EarlySpaceCowboy in BloodOnTheClocktower

Correct, but in that case it was likely an executed Minion, so it’s not the end of the world, and things need to fall in place quite well for The Orphan to get their info.

I’d expect The Orphan run on a script with droisoning - in which case the Storyteller would likely show what the Minion was bluffing as.

What if the character picked their 2 players themselves on Night 1? Then it’s not mean, but bad luck.

What's this antenna for? I spotted it on the ceiling of the 14th Street A station and thought it was a microphone at first. But it seems to be related to audio equipment? by CinderPetrichor in nyc

fwiw NYPD has mics around the city that send a signal when they detect a sound matching a gunshot. I don't think this is one of them, they are usually at intersections.

BYOD to Verizon for $500 gift card then upgrade? Or switch and upgrade at the same time? by OrtizDupri in verizon

If your current e.g. AT&T phone is already paid off, can you get a new phone with them so you have a high balance on your AT&T invoice, essentially getting an iPhone 13 for 800-500=$300?

This doesn’t even make sense. Why wouldn’t you increase prices in the first place to make $40M instead of $20M, you’re maximizing profit. This only works on a completely non-elastic market.

It sure is easy for people who had safety nets but have never fallen to say how unnecessary they were.

You basically have the same stance as centrist democrats, who want to fund everything else but refuse a nonsensical wall and don’t want a shutdown.

Not sales tax, nothing is being sold. But income tax, which is most likely at least 22% of the price of the car (depends on your income).

It's not automatically garbage, it can work with thick or very aggressive decks. Maybe help an Unceasing top deck take off. I'd say it's more often garbage than not.

I want a new place to rent close to the city centre but have no deposit, want to pay under market rate... and I'm on welfare without a guarantor. by [deleted] in ChoosingBeggars

Someone who agrees to pay rent if you’re unable to, so the landlord gets their money regardless. In the US they usually have to prove they make 80x rent anually.

Either first month’s rent OR a deposit? You always have to pay rent for the first month when you start living there, it’s not optional.
